“Stopped here on our last day as the resort we stayed at did not have any breakfast options. We were pleasantly surprised by the food! We got one burrito and a French toast sandwich. Both items were really good especially the garlic aioli that came with the burrito! Will definitely come back !”
“Great food. Quick service. Quantity was Moe than expected. Available to walk-ins. Don’t need to be renting at the Bali Hai condos.Vegetarian options: Got tofu stir fry.”
“This is a walk-up, with tables outside. The sandwiches (choice of around 10) are truly amazing, and *hearty*. Some of our group ate half and saved rest for later. Highly recommended for lunch.Enjoyed the fun, engaging order taker too !Note: they evidently get a lot of call ahead orders, so when you place order don't be surprised if they say it'll be 20 or so minutes to get your order! Just chill and enjoy the surrounds...hey, you're on Kauai,!”
“After a long day of flying we were starving and this place did not disappoint. If you are looking for a casual and relaxed dining experience, stop here. This restaurant was located within a resort in Princeville. We used the valet service to park the car and our valet was incredibly kind and helpful. He directed us a short distance to the restaurant. We were seated quickly. We started our dinner off with an incredible music playlist and a to die for view of Hanalei Bay from our table. The restaurant seems to be going through a renovation but that did not distract from our experience. We ordered and shared a Caesar salad, garlic knots and wings. Kids also shared a cheese pizza and adults shared a Pesto-riffic and The Rock (at the recommendation of our adorable server). All items delighted diners and everyone left satisfied! Do not miss this place if you want a delicious dinner with a view.”
“One of the best options for a quick and well made breakfast in the area. Good egg bowls, and we love the local sausage sandwich. Smoothies, acai, you know the drill. Call ahead to preorder so you can go straight to the pickup line, there is a minimum service fee and payment is by credit card. There is a large covered outdoor seating area, or you can grab and go. Plenty of parking.PS Do not begrudge mandatory tips on Kaua'i and please be generous in optional situations. Our workers and local families cannot afford to live here and everyone benefits from their labor.”
“This is by far the best restaurant in Princeville. First of all, the service is impeccable. Everyone goes above and beyond at The Sandbox. Their pizza is the best. The man who makes them all day is really awesome. He's so nice, he even took a beautiful picture of us at sunset from his outdoor kitchen. And of course, the view is to die for. We went there twice while we stayed at The 1 Hotel which by the way is 5 stars all the way. We ordered pizzas both times. And one night, the chef made an incredible grilled shrimp salad special. All in all, I give it 10 stars.”
“Great Mai Tais! Luan was very sweet and took the fact that we tried two other Mai Tais at other establishments and was less than impressed. He fixed us up a great one and blew us away. Thanks for taking the time to help us out!”
“This place is just what the name says, the vibe, music and staff give everyone a sense of happiness which makes one feel at home. The drinks were really good, we went for some mai tais with fish and chips and shrimp tacos for my wife. To top it off we had the lava cake for dessert which was also delicious. Overall, this is a happy place to have a good time, listen to some good music with some good drinks and delicious food. I do recommend it!”
“So fantastic, great people, great experience, and they do everything they can to make you feel welcome and appreciated. Can't say enough good things about this place and can't wait to come back.”
“Just what you'd expect from a tiki bar. Fun tropical cocktails served in zany cups. Server was attentive. We only had drinks and some French fries, all tasty.”
“I don't know about the other reviews. The Coconut Curry had the right amount of heat and coconut. The ribeye steak was delicious! Everything we tried was excellent.”
“Excellent service and their hot mama burrito is a must eat in this area if you are a vegetarian!Vegetarian options: Their Hot mama burrito is a MUST eat in this region if you are a vegetarian, especially if you are also Indian! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“The mushroom pizza with added Italian sausage was amazing! And don't forget to try the Pessimistic red blend. So yummy! Beautiful restaurant and friendly staff!”
“Great Chai tea and mango iced tea! However the staff’s attitudes were a bit poor and I stood there for about 5-10 minutes waiting for them to finish talking about personal affairs before they decided to even take my order.I’d still go back considering how good the drinks were! Just make sure you’ve got the time and patience”
“Not sure what had changed recently, our service was top notch. We walked in with 3 kids 8 and under who were less than decisive and the woman behind the counter was patient and friendly. The ice cream was top notch. Expensive, but what isn't in Kauai?”
“I LOVE Nanea so MATCHA! The best matcha in the World. My favorite is Oat Rose Matcha with touch of Honey. Mason & his team are always bringing the good vibes. Also, you get to sip amongst Native Hawaiian plants!!! A must visit spot on the North Shore, bring your dogs!????”
“WOWZERS!!!! We came here after reading the reviews and decided we should stop in to try Venezuelan food. At first we ended up in a golf course and weren't sure where we were but it's tucked in behind the shop at the golf course. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh and we all ordered different things to try. I had the Ally's plate with garlic shrimp and it was absolutely delicious, my friends had the Arepa with saute shrimp and avocado. Normally I cannot finish an entire plate but I ate every bit of it and wanted more. We all tried different dishes and they were all spectacular. After a hike this place hits the spot. Great service.”
“Better than Lappert's because the portion is bigger and the ice cream itself has less air incorporated (making the texture better). Definitely recommend! Could use more mix ins for some of the flavors (my mac nut had zero brittle).”
“This place had 100% the best gyro I have ever had. We had falafel and jackfruit, and how on earth does anyone make jackfruit so amazing? The falafel was delicious too. We had the potato side and nothing is deep-fried. Those in our party that were vegan had an alternative sauce option that was to die for. This place is so incredibly delicious. You will not want to miss it.”
“Great food, great service. I was very happy to find authentic indian food on this island. Price is reasonable for what they provide.Definitely recommend all their dishes. We almost tried all vegetarian curries.”
“I wouldn't normally order garlic shrimp for breakfast, but I'm convinced that this was the right call at Wake Up Delicious because it was just so darn tasty. The shrimps, doused in an intensely garlicky, buttery, and slightly spicy sauce, were jumbo-sized and served heads-on. You also get a nice heap of rice, which you can dip into the shrimp sauce. I got the seaweed salad as my side, which was refreshing and flavorful. It seems that Wake Up Delicious used to be a food truck called Trucking Delicious, but they moved into a brick-and-mortar shop in the bustling area along Hanalei's Kuhio Highway. There are a few seats indoors and on the small patio, or you can take your food out to the beach.”
“We were looking for something a little off the beaten path and more "authentic" than what was in Kilauea town. We found this on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! Big Nicks in just off the road in the grass area adjacent to the school. They were so friendly and everything we ate was delicious. The crowd was about 70% locals and 30% tourists. Only 3 picnic tables to eat at but a lot of the patrons were getting their food to go. The burgers were excellent and cooked to order and came with plenty of fries. The Local Boy plate had some beef, chicken and shrimp plus rice and potato salad. All of it was hot and super tasty. If you're looking for ambience or a great view this isn't your place. But if you're looking for good food, large portions and wonderful service then don't miss this place!”
“We loved their shaved ice but at this location they take too long to serve you. My husband ended up having to throw away half our ice as they took so long, we didn't have time to finish it because our tour bus was leaving and we couldn't take it on board. Our tour guide told us about the other location in Kapaa where were staying so we had a do over later.”
“So tasty. Tried the combo plate and it didn't and pineapple chicken. Combo plate was great that as it allowed us try a little of everything. Must try if you are in Hanalei.”
“The Hanalei Taro & Juice Co truck is the go to for a delicious lunch in Hanalei. Laulau, Kalua Pig, super ono Shoyu Chicken special on Sundays. Great juices, especially the Calamansi Lime when they have it.”
“Just tried it the other day got a chili dog. Service was great and the dog was amazing!! New york style hotdog. I need the chili recipe but something that good has to be proprietary.”
“Amazing coffee and cute little shop, has beautiful jewlery and paintings and the owner is super nice and great to talk to!!! There’s the beach right next to it, good views whilst you’re having your coffee!”
“Excellent food. And as a girl who typically loves her Texas barbecue, I’m very particular when it comes to grilled and smoked meats. These guys know how to do it. Top notch! Great sauces too!And best of all, kind and friendly employees. Will be back for sure!”
“Seriously their salads are "off the hook" so so yummy!! I try to eat there everyday. I'm obsessed. I usually get the Thai salad with avo. I add black beans and sometimes purple potatoes. The herbs give it so much flavor. Love, love, love this place!!”
