Always go when I go back Kauai. Even if Ma guys from Lihue, worth making the trip to Hanapepe to see the grandparents old stomping grounds and grab some chips. I always like the taro and potato chips, but forgot how good the ulu was. I've had ulu chips elsewhere and we make them and it's always oily...but not at Taro Ko. Whatever they do is great. Glad I bought 2 bags ulu this trip (8 total to give as omiyage)...
the taro chips soooo yummy! very thin !! they have other flavors, sweet potato, regular potato chips and think li Hing potato chip kine.the guys the old man and the younger old guy were not into customer service aloha, and they no care!! u like chips buy if you no like them no buy! we liked both so we bought whatever they had left. 7 bags at 7.00 each.oh important info.. CASH Only!!we going back to get more, just because they getting old and u never know when they going retire!!no...read full review

The chips are thin and crispy. The best taro or potato chips you've had! The place is a small shack but at least they have a sign so you couldn't miss. The chips need to be eaten within the week as the oil would get spoiled.
