“I do a LOT of research in choosing a fine dining restaurant. This restaurant exceeded all of our expectations. My adult son said the prime rib he has was the best he's had. My wife and I had the butter fish (nightly special) and the fresh catch Oscar and they were both beautifully presented and divine on the palate. Yes, there was a Luau happening a few hundred yards from the restaurant but the ambiance in the restaurant was quiet and romantic. Service was on point at every step. We will return.“

“Just ordered their ahi katsu plate and a side of kalbi ribs. Both were fantastic! Ahi was fresh, breading had a crispy crunch to it and fish was cooked perfectly. Kalbi ribs were flavorful, well seasoned and cooked to perfection with minimal fat. Highly recommend this place.“

“I would've done 4 stars just because I don't really like giving out 5 stars when I'm not completely blown away but I also don't like 4 stars bringing down their score in the aggregate when they probably exceed their total score currently. Busy local spot. Parking lot tight but plentiful. Tables full 6-8pm that I was around on a Sunday. Sushi has fresh sushi rice and fish was good. I had one awkward piece of a spicy tuna out of all the things I ate, so that isn't really too flaggable for me. All their Thai food is probably excellent, the laab was delicious and fresh. Guest had pad Thai was very good. Place moves quick. Great option in town“

“Kenji Burger Lihue: A Pleasant SurpriseReview:By chance, we stumbled upon Kenji Burger in Lihue, and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The burgers were not only delicious but also generously sized. What impressed us even more was the reasonable price tag attached to these mouthwatering burgers. In fact, they were even more affordable than the often overrated food trucks we encountered during our time in Hawaii. The quality of the ingredients and the flavorful combinations made Kenji Burger stand out among the dining options in Lihue. If you're in the area and craving a satisfying burger that won't break the bank, Kenji Burger is definitely worth a visit.“

“This place deserves six stars, but I can only give it five because that is the maximum google allows.First of all, it is local / fisherman owned.Possibly the best poke I’ve ever had in my entire life. I would choose this as my last meal over everything else in the world.Your taste buds will be throwing a celebratory party after you eat this delicious food, order anything it’s all phenomenal.Pro tip if you get your poke bowl to go drive up the road to the sunrise Café and get a coffee to go with it“

“Ate here for the first time. Went during HH and loved the smash burger and garlic fries. I also had the dragon fruit kombucha from Kauai Juice. Food and service were excellent. Lexi, Leeanna and Candice are lovely ladies. They treated me and my pup (Honey) like family. We’ll be back for more!“

“I love supporting the culinary student program at Mark's Place but we go there because the food is really good ! The Ahi Tofu burger wrapped in lettuce is my favorite! Try the Fish or Teri Chicken if you're really hungry ! Plates are huge with rice Mac salad and green tossed salad too . You can ask for tossed green salad only and they are happy to accommodate the substitution. I love all of their sauces and the salad dressing is perfect !“

“We ordered the smash burger and wow, it was sooo good. Our meal came with fries and those were very good as well. The burger had a lot of flavor and the toppings complimented the burger. Fries had a very good fry and just enough salt. Highly recommend.“

“Haven't been here since 2019, well it hasn't changed; the parking lot is full and the tables was almost to capacity. Tip Top is nostalgic, memories, flooding back to my childhood days. Took the Cousin here for breakfast. She ordered the grand slam and pancakes and I ordered the small order of oxtail soup. My other cousin, on Oahu mentioned I should try the oxtail soup. It was good, if you're allergic to peanuts, that's not for you.. The broth had a hint of star anise and five Chinese spices; ok I'm not an expert on spices; that's what I tasted. Bowl with fill with long rice, slices of won bok cabbage, sprinkle of peanuts, match-slices of sliced bamboo shoots, and green onions, accompanied with small plate with a big scoop of white rice, side of grated ginger and Chinese parsley and an extra small empty plate for your oxtail discarded bones. Atmosphere is casual a lot of local people and visitors as well .“

“A local favorite and family-owned business. One of the few places in Lihue that's open late. Visiting relatives always make time to dine here. Seating is first come first serve. Cash only. You can call in to go orders but it isn't made until you get there. Special saimin and beef skewer finished with a tart but light lilikoi chiffon pie is what I usually order. Chicken skewers can sometimes be undercooked. Help yourself to hot mustard, soy sauce, and chili pepper water vinegar condiments on the table. Wipe down your utensils before eating. They also serve manapua! Parking lot is full on second Saturday nights because of the Lihue Night Market until 8:30. There is no waiting room or benches, prepare to have somebody stand in line down the ramp when it's busy. There is a unisex restroom inside. I believe they are closed on September when the whole staff is on vacation.“

“Delicious food! We had mini loco-moco and “special” mochi waffles with chicken. Everything tastes top-notch! I was especially impressed with the service! Two girls handled a full house of customers: taking orders, bringing food, cleaning tables, bringing drinks and coffee refills - and we did not feel likewe were waiting too long for anything! 5 stars for the ladies of the cafe!!!!“

“We've been going to Kauai Pasta since 2016. Always loved the food and service. They recently moved their location and it's open and airy. We were celebrating my husband's birthday this go around and were not disappointed. Food is amazing. Service is exceptional. Our servers name was Jen and she was lovely. Overheard us talking about my husband's birthday and brought out a small treat with a candle at the end. Perfect way to end the day.“

“Visited for a day and had a whirlwind of a time. Ended up our escapade with a nice dinner at Kiibo. Although this was my first (and certainly not my last) time here, we were met with hospitable staff and the warmest aloha. As many have mentioned, this restaurant is a staple for the local community and continues to shine on through its' refresh. We shared the agedashi tofu and mochi to start. I ended up getting the agedashi chicken katsu with some shrimp tempura on the side. All of the dishes left my stomach grinning immensely. The flavors here are quite authentic and it was giving motherland realness with the decor and ambiance. Pricing is as expected for the quality of flavor and offerings, especially coming out of the pandemic. The nice thing is that they also offer take out for those who want to experience the good flavors to-go. However--it is strongly recommended to dine in to experience the food in real time. As the indoor seating is limited, be sure to call ahead and make a reservation. You will be glad that you did. Will be back for more the next time I'm in town. Thank you again! ご馳走様でしたー!“

“My wife and I visit Kauai often and on one occasion in 2022, we decided to try NOKA GRILL. We were there on a Sunday at 11:30am. It was not crowded. We ordered the Spam Loco Moco and Kalbi plate. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. It was hot and the portions were fine. They use regular sodium Spam. I'm used to eating the low sodium version back home and found theirs too salty. I tried mixing it with the rice and gravy, but it was still too salty for my liking. The burger patty was dense as well. My wife said the Kalbi was very good. We asked for cups of ice water and they gave us each a giant cup with about 32 ounces of water in them. There is free parking in front and places to eat outside that have TV's you can watch various sports. There is also an eating area upstairs with more TV's. They charge a surcharge for using a credit card so pay in cash if you want to avoid paying extra. We would definitely consider eating there again, but I won't be getting the Spam Loco Moco unless it was low sodium, otherwise, I'm sure I can find something else on the menu.“

“If you're hungry, go here! This food is amazing, honestly a bit surprised ? we had the Chicken Pad Thai and Shrimp Fried Rice and they both hit the spot. The fried rice was surprisingly flavorful and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. No good pics because I just couldn't stop eating ? I lived in South East Asia as a kid, and some of their seasonings really took me back. The chicken satay is a great, cheap, portable snack and my only regret was not getting more. Points lost due to the minimal seating/lack of customer bathroom. If you're walking around Lihue and you feel like a quick bite definitely swing by this cart!“

“So good and such a great deal especially compared to some of the other touristy places on the island.. Quick and easy as well, and tastes very authentic and delicious. Chicken adobo was to die for, I loved the noodles as well. I’m not even sure what the other thing I got was but it was so good, you can’t go wrong with anything.“

“I always enjoy Verde. I normally have 1.5 hours to kill while waiting for my kids practice to end. Always get the bfast burrito or the adovado burrito with red and green sauce with a side of habanero hot sauce. Some times that sauce is either hot or not. Margarita game is on point recommend getting it with a lihing rim job. ? The stacked enchilada is a must. Also the new ube churros with ube sugar and ube butter sauce are amazing but the churro is more like a malasadas dough than a churros batter“

“Our experience was very good! We were seated promptly and our server was extremely attentive. The drinks were good, food was good- my fish was excellent , sides were done well but a little cool for my liking. Almost looked like it had been waiting too long before my fish was ready. My father raved about his lobster and steak. The ambience was excellent and the scenic picture from our table was amazing!“

“Fast and friendly service, tasty food and nice portion sizes. Their oxtail soup/mein is underrated, and a nice option on a rainy day. Daughter loves it here. Reminds me of the Chinese restaurants that we enjoyed during my childhood across the state.“

“It's always a treat when we eat here I personally LOVE their takoyaki balls and spicy tuna sushi rolls. Their tobiko nigiri is always a must too, it's my daughter's favorite! I've ordered just about everything on the menu and all of their items taste so fresh and onolicious! Aside from their fresh sushi, their service is beyond amazing! We are always greeted with welcoming smiles and happy vibes. Love the staff here they are really one of the friendliest food trucks I've ever been to. Overall I definitely recommend this little food truck to anyone and everyone! #Spicy Tuna Roll #Tuna Lover Roll #Takoyaki“
