Great spot for some shaved ice. It's conveniently located in the middle of the plaza within hanalei and makes for a great dessert place after dining. Tried the tropical breeze and really enjoyed it. There is vanilla ice cream with macadamia nut at the bottom that u gotta work to get to but it's great.

Update 6 years later: still best I have found on the island.
So good!!! The Berry Berry is super delicious! The syrups they use are sooo good and not overly sweet! Vanilla Ice cream on the bottom is definitely worth it. The small can definitely be shared with 2-4 people. Huge!! So yummy!

Simple straight forward and good. They let you customize anything. Decently priced.
Sooooo good! And believe me there are ordinary shave ice places too!!! Eg 'Fresh Shave' Go for the Macadamia ice cream

So the manager listen to me and refunded me so let start that she made it right. However, the two boys there were awful. The long hair surfer guy taking my order was more interested at tipping out for the day than listening to my order. I waited for 30 minutes to even place an order. The other guy with frizzy hair was too busy goofing off and taking forever. People left the line tired of waiting. When I got my order, it was plain. There is no white stuff on top and no ice cream. Then when the guy with frizzy hair argued with me, saying I ordered it plain. I pointed at the sign. I ordered just as it it was described. Came all the way from Arizona for this horrible treatment and service!

Very tasty and large shave ice with great flavors. The combination with macadamia nut ice cream on the bottom is great. The service, however, was a bit inattentive, slow and yet very disinterested. Good parking situation with a few spaces. There are also plenty of seating options with shade. Great price for the portion size.

Pretty average shave ice, with typical service from the young staff. I had the root beer float shave ice, my wife had the berry berry shave ice. Both were really good. The staff however was hit and miss. The gentleman who took our order was pleasant and friendly, however, one of the guys that made my shave ice was kinda dour and somewhat surly. Another guy was sitting down, eating chicken and rice. The entire group were loudly teasing each other, while slowly getting to our order. In general, I don't mind the chatter and playfulness, but the surly guy and the chicken eater were a bit much.
Wow! First shave ice experience and all I can say is “wow”!
