The Man taking orders has a poor additude & doesnt greet you when you walk up to the truck.. Dont go here if you have any food allergies, they cross contaminate everything.

Pat’s Taqueria was one of the most disappointing food experiences I’ve ever had in Kauai. There was absolutely no Aloha here — the staff behaved as though serving customers was a burden and we were doing them a favor by showing up. The prices were shockingly high, which could have been acceptable given the prime Hanalei location, if the food or service was worth it. Unfortunately, neither was.

We ordered a vegetarian quesadilla and were completely baffled to find it stuffed with lettuce and salad greens. Who puts salad inside a quesadilla, let alone charges $15 for it? Not only did it taste terrible, but it felt like a careless attempt at food. On top of that, the bottled Jarritos were $4 each — not only overpriced, but served warm, which added to the frustration.

This place comes across as a cash grab, with zero effort made toward food quality or customer care. The staff don’t crack a smile — maybe that’s another fee they intend to charge.

Bottom line: avoid this place unless you have no other option whatsoever. Even then, you’d be better off finding anywhere else to eat in Hanalei.

The tacos were too small and mediocre for the price and after spending 150.00 with them, I asked for a small go cup for salsa and was rudely told no. They could have charged me for the tiny cup, but no. So, definitely not aloha spirit, overpriced, bland and underwhelming. We'll skip it next time.

My cousin and I both had horrible food poisoning from this place. No one else in our group got food from here and we all ate the same things. I would skip at all costs.

The food is edible, I suppose, so there’s that. If you’re desperate for something to keep you from starving while you’re at the beach, this place is passable. I got the Kalua pork burrito, which clearly lacked seasoning or flavor of any kind. I expected at least one taste bud to be entertained. For a $20 burrito, I would’ve been upset if I had gone out of my way to eat here.

Get the pork tacos! Best we’ve ever had and we eat a lot of tacos coming from San Diego. Lots of pork and tortilla was cooked perfectly. We’ll be back when we are back in town

The food is decent. But I will never never never come here again. The dude is incredibly rude and I suggest you don’t support someone who think he can behave this way. I was very polite and while I was waiting for my food (bc he messed up my order) he told me to stop standing there and staring at him. Overpriced decent food and a very rude owner. No thanks.

Have to agree with the other reviews regarding costs and food quality. We were very disappointed with our ahi burritos and even more disappointed knowing how much we spent. The burrito was overfilled with rice and I’d say I maybe had 8-10 small chunks of ahi. Even with hot sauce there was virtually no flavor. We ended up dumping it out on a plate to find just the fish because it was essentially a rice burrito. Again, understand prices have gone up but give your customers a reason to come back. Unfortunately we will not be returning.
