Excellent food & Service and reasonably priced. All the Locals eat here. It is Hidden and cannot be seen from the parking lot. Use your Google Maps. Park and Walk in between the Surf Board Shop and the directory. There are other shops back there. For breakfast You must try the spam sandwich as an appetizer while your food is being prepared. It is only $3 & the delicious warm donuts. Opens at 8am-3pm closed Tuesday and Wednesdays. Here are Photos of the menu

I honestly didn’t expect much at first, but wow—it was incredibly delicious! The sweetness was perfectly balanced. The banana pie and cornbread were my absolute favorites—so good, it felt unreal.

This is a classic Hawaiian style restaurant/diner. The baked goods are excellent and the firecracker chicken is very good. Usual menu with Burgers etc. Often Mahi Mahi on Friday lunch. A super nice local family owns it and has had it for a long time.

I used to enjoy this place, but unfortunately the quality has gone downhill. The food is now pretty mediocre—often dry, not very fresh, and served in much smaller portions than before. There’s really nothing special about it anymore, and with other options nearby, it doesn’t feel worth it.

The experience inside is also disappointing. The tables are usually dirty, the interior feels gloomy, and to make matters worse, they got my order wrong twice. While they did eventually refund me, it took a lot of back-and-forth on the phone to get it resolved.

Honestly, L&L Hawaiian BBQ right next door is a much better choice. Sad to say, but Village Snack Shop & Bakery just doesn’t seem to care about food or customers the way they once did.

Delicious cinnamon rolls baked fresh every morning. A real treat to take & eat at Hanalei Bay. Who needs more??

We heard great things about this place from another visitor, and made a special effort seeking it out, but the food was average and there wasn't much service (just bought from counter) or atmosphere (ate at one of the tables in the street). We had pepper chicken in two other places and think this is at the bottom of our list. Didn't like that they had bones in which made it hard to eat. The pies were light and good! Won't return.

Was on the hunt for macadamia nut pancakes while we drove up to the Hanalei area. Ordered macadamia pancakes, plain pancakes & French toast. Everything was fine, nothing really stood out as memorable.

Good location, right in the center of Hanalei. The food was average or below in our opinion. We heard great things about the mac nut pancakes, but felt they were pretty bleh. The omelette was not good at all, and was greasy. Not a place we would return to.

⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ KITCHEN SHUTS DOWN AN HOUR BEFORE CLOSING
I had the Chili Pepper Chicken 4 years ago before sailing across the Pacific... I was delicious. I was really looking forward to on this visit, however I arrived a half hour before closing, only to be seriously disappointed to be told that the kitchen closed at 3p ... And hour before closing. 😭

Don't make my mistake!

This was so good!! Was told by a local this is the place. The chili chicken and the locomoco were to die for. I’d recommend over and over. The girl serving me was so helpful in giving us suggestions and helping us get to try a lot of things. Lovely place! Also very cheap for this area and better than the fancy places! My new favorite spot.
