We had a fantastic time at the lodge restaurant today! We sat at the bar, and had the best Bloody Mary's ever - pretty much delicious gazpacho with vodka. And the Kalua Loco Moco was absolutely delicious. The kalua pork (versus hamburger) really makes it. And make sure to order the cornbread! We had to take two extra orders to go. Finally, even though they were extremely busy, all of the staff couldn't have been nicer or more efficient. Every other dish we saw leave...
Totally worth a stop for lunch if you’re in the canyon! The Kalua pork plate, cornbread, and iced tea were all spot on after our hike. There was also live music (on a Wednesday around 1pm) which added to the cool ambiance.
We did a day trip up Waimea Canyon and stopped at the Lodge for lunch. Great food and atmosphere! Service was friendly at the counter. Did have to wait a bit for our food, but got to listen to live music while we waited. All good!
