Great local place! You know it's gonna be good when it's mostly locals there that the owners know.
Our favorite dish from there were the peanut butter buns. This cannot be missed! If you like peanut butter - please don't leave workout trying it from here. Gooey delicious and divine.
The garlic shrimp were yummy. Loco moco was above average. Kalbi beef was great.

A restaurant located in the northern part of Oahu.
It seems like they specialize in takeout, and there are no seats inside, but there are tables and chairs outside so you can eat there.
When I ordered the loco moco, I found that it was a different type of loco moco than what I often see in photos.
The taste is very delicious, the portions are plentiful, and the prices are very reasonable for Hawaii.

Great food for good prices. Cash only though. Also, there's not much seating besides a few picnic benches. Also no bathrooms.

Papa Ole’s is easily my family’s favorite place when we visit the North Shore! The best garlic chicken & teriyaki beef plates!! The teriyaki beef tastes like it was marinated for 40days & 40nights!! Flava outta dis world!! Just perfection!! This place is a MUST when we visit this beautiful island!

Been eating at this restaurant on and off for many years. Good food, but prices have gone up significantly. The price of a double cheeseburger with fixings is a little much, even if it is "Hand Made" and the front counter service I received today was sub par.
If a burger is what you crave, instead of the spending the $20 here, take the short 15 minute drive North to Roys Beach House, a casual, but classy restaurant on the Turtle Bay Resort, set right on the beach.
For $26 (a few bucks more, but totally worth it) you can indulge in a Delicious, Grass Fed, Local raised (right down the road from the resort) 1/2 pound beef burger with all the fixings all while enjoying the beautiful ocean view, warm atmosphere and friendly service this place has to offer. So good!! and totally worth the extra $6 for the setting alone
Why settle, when you can enjoy one of the best burgers on the island.

The food is gooooooood! The Unko Ole was delicious (the steak was perfect) same as the Teriyaki and Garlic chicken, and the sauted shrimps. There was a line and we had to wait a little bit, not bad though. The staff is very nice. Mahalo!

Might be best ribs on the island. Very moist and flavorful. My wife likes Helena's better but Helena's cook theirs completely different making it dryer and tougher. But if you consider them as different dishes (pipikaula vs. kalbi ribs) then Papa Ole has the best kalbi ribs.

pulehu rib is not bad, but it doesn’t really worth the 30-40min wait.
