After a long day at the beach, and scenic drive through steep sloping mountain beauty, of the big island.
By chance we went in for ice cream in the small town of Havi.
Huge selection with tastes so creamy, and mouth watering ,stimulating.
The owner let us try so many, all were amazing!
I settled on a rocky road ,and pistachio. I almost went for lemon. My husband had lemon & Lilekoi,
Soo good!

Great ice cream! We stopped in after a hike and enjoyed the covered outdoor seating. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the ice cream is creamy and flavorful!

Amazing service and delicious island flavours awaited us at Our Founding Farmers. We were offered multiple yummy samples - lemon was wowza, as was ginger, matcha and M&M! We enjoyed double scoop combos of rocky road (best I ever had!), strawberry, lemon, mint chip and M&M. Super friendly staff serving ice cream made on site in cups to catch the drips! Incredible flavours, a great name and real ingredients make this spot a must stop on your trip to North Kohala. A great treat after hiking up from Pololu Valley. We will be adding Our Founding Farmers to our annual adventures in Hāwī and Kapa’au!

Parking: Great parking spots out front and off the busy road through Hāwī.
