Bird food. No fats. Alcoholics. Clowns using the bathroom . Rude service. Went downhill. Take it to Puna.

Friendly staff, good location and amazing food. Great menu along with a good selection of bar drinks. We had breakfast and the service was fast. Small location so you might have to wait. Will come here again if back in Hilo.

This is a cute place that makes kombucha. It's delicious. They have it on tap and in bottles to go. The j*** chicken tacos were delicious.

We didn't find a ton of great options in Hilo for dining, but were pleasantly surprised by this great spot! There was something for the fish-eating lovers, and the vegetarians, as well as some great Kombucha! Quick service and outdoor dining option.

Went to this place based on a local tip of the cashier of the Palace cinema. The place was chill and cozy. We both ordered the signature burger which was really great and also perfectly cooked. For our first time (as Europeans) we had Chardonnay in cans… but we did ask and got wine glasses and eventually the wine was great. Big thanks to the manager who gave me a sticker for my wife’s travel scrapbook. If you like burgers, we can only recommend !

If you value your health and you need energy, you must try the locally crafted kombucha and kraut these folks create. The beet kraut tastes delicious, and the Super Ginger Turmeric Tonic will awaken your senses and soothe your digestive system like never before! There are many other healthful varieties where those came from to choose from. Very clean, safe and well run facility as well!!!

We tried this place for breakfast on the day we were headed out of town- I so wished we had discovered it sooner!! I had the gf banana walnut French toast and it was the best I’ve ever had!! My husband had eggs/potatoes which was also great! I only regret not finding this spot sooner!

Great food and a mystical vibe. After visiting Hilo region for the day we came here for dinner. It was semi crowded so we found a table and ordered easily. I love that everything is locally grown and fish was fresh catch of the day. Everything was delicious would come again.

Kombucha on tap at the Booch Bar is the best. And their food is great too. We had the veggie burger and it was one of the best we’ve ever tasted. A solid 10 out of 10. The blackened fish tacos were tasty too. Prices aren’t exorbitant. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We sat at tables outside to watch the world go by. Next time we’ll try the kombucha flights and more menu items.

In our 2 weeks in Hawaii, this is the only place we went to twice. My omnivore husband was just as much a proponent of returning as I (a vegetarian). The bibimbap (fish and veg) were fabulous, as was the Rueben omelet. Sitting inside was a small price to pay for enjoying a Kentucky cold brew. Fabulous!

The Booch Bar is pricey for the quantity you get but they are solidly dependable with special dietary needs. My son has celiac and is always nervous about eating out. This place has become a "go-to" with enough selection it isn't boring, always tastes good and never makes him ill. Serving sizes are not large and we usually end up ordering 2 meals for him to get full and that makes it expensive, but the security of knowing they are careful about cross-contamination adds a lot of value.

This was not a pleasant experience. Let’s start with good. My kids enjoyed their smoothies. We should probably have followed their lead. I ordered a burger, after removing the burger from the bun, it was quite good. However the bun was drowned in multiple vinegary sauces the tomato was very old and all of this made the bun a mushy mess. The side was literally a spoonful of kraut, and cost over $20. My wife ordered a salad, it was limp and the lettuce was warm and served with a watery balsamic vinaigrette. My wife is vegan and was hoping to find a nice place to eat while we were here volcano watching, we will have to continue looking.

After traveling most of the day to Hilo, I was really craving a salad. The Booch Bar did not disappoint! I got a Chef's Salad and it was just what I was looking for. My husband got fish tacos and really liked them. We enjoyed our dinner so much, we went back again today for take-out salads for dinner tonight. Great place!

Went there last night. Food was great. I had fish bibimbap, the pickled veg were simply delicious.. my husband had Nicole’s salad, also terrific. Lots of other interesting.dishes to try. So nice to have something decent after all the ghastly options on Maui.
