Big Island Top Dogs takes the humble hotdog from a simple street snack to a culinary marvel, proving that amazingness can indeed come in a bun. From the first bite, it's clear that these aren't your average ballpark franks. Picture this: Each hotdog is a masterpiece, a fusion of flavors that is as bold and vibrant as the island itself. The sauciness of their creations is not just literal—it's in the daring combinations and the quality of ingredients. Whether it's the locally sourced produce that adds a fresh crunch or the array of gourmet sauces that range from sweet Hawaiian pineapple to a fiery lava flow of spicy goodness, every element is thoughtfully chosen to create an explosion of flavor with each bite. But what elevates Big Island Top Dogs to the realm of amazingness is the passion behind the grill. It's not just food; it's an experience. The vibrant setting, the aroma of sizzling hotdogs mingled with tropical scents, and the warm, welcoming spirit of the staff all contribute to an atmosphere that's as sunny and delightful as the island itself.Their menu, a playful yet respectful homage to local flavors, gives both visitors and locals a taste of Hawaii in an unexpected form. Whether you're sinking your teeth into the 'Volcano Dog', with its spicy pepper relish and creamy avocado lime drizzle, or the 'Aloha Dog', a sweet and savory concoction topped with grilled pineapple and teriyaki sauce, you're in for a treat that's both comforting and exciting.Big Island Top Dogs doesn't just serve hotdogs; they craft moments of joy, wrapped in Hawaiian hospitality and served with a side of aloha spirit. It's not just amazing; it's a taste of paradise on a bun.

Had the dogzilla, it was unique, and filling. Although I personally wouldn't get it again but will try something else. Not sure if the ingredients meshed well with the meat.Sudzilla fries, my bad, it was basically the same thing as the dogzilla so the flavors were similar. I traded with my wife's adobe fries, much better balance. We had two hot dogs, two fried and two canned drinks . $46-50?Pros:- Good foodCons:- little pricyWould I come back.- YesWould I recommend it to others- Yes

Great place with some of the most amazing hot dogs I've ever had. Even better than the burger I got, and that's saying something. No room to eat inside, so don't plan on that if you go. More of a take it somewhere else or eat it in the car kind of deal.Parking: Parking is free in the plaza. No issues finding a spot at around noon.

Hands-down the best hot dogs we've ever had. I ordered the Dogzilla; my husband had the chili cheese. We couldn't decide which was better. Their fried rice was also delicious! Their menu is creative, and I'm sure if we lived here, we'd be returning customers! Mahalo!

Ended up in Hilo and most restaurants are closed. Ended up in this small shopping strip with a few parking spots. Place is pretty small, takeout only and no public restrooms. Ordered a plain dog, cheese burger deluxe, crispy chicken burger, spudzilla fries, and their acai bowl.Just a heads up, don't order "plain" anything. Literally just buns and meat and that's it. The burger deluxe was decent, crispy chicken was good too, juicy, but kinda boring just stuck in between two buns. The spudzilla fries was done pretty well, and same for the acai bowl. Prices aren't outrageous, so that's pretty nice.

Long wait to get my order which was just one hot dog, people after me got their order first, workers don’t seem happy, but taste is not bad. I think it’s overpriced and nothing makes me want to go back
