We've been trying different poke spots in Hilo and this spot was disappointing, especially considering how expensive it is. The fish wasn't fresh, the cuts were bad, and the flavours were pretty bland. I usually finish every poke bowl but couldn't even finish this one. Don't recommend..

Really enjoyed the first time we ate here. But upon the second visit, I got deathly ill with food poisoning. About 4 hours after eating, I violently threw up and spent the second day in bed sweating and with severe stomach cramps. We were visiting Hilo from Oahu and we had to delay our trip back because of how sick I was.

The past 4 times I’ve eaten here their fish taste like it had been sitting out for multiple days or just straight up rotten. It even looks like expired or almost expired fish and they make their kimchi tako so salty that I couldn’t even finish a bite of it. The rice was extremely mushy. Also are the tomato salad suppose to be mushy? Other places I’ve gotten it was a nice crunch and cold

On my quest to eat as much poke as possible, I found this spot. I tried a 3 Choice Poke Bowl with Wasabi Mayo, Chili Crisp, Butter Garlic, Crab Mac Salad, and Pickled Daikon.
Wasabi mayo is my favorite kind of poke, so I was excited they had it and it didn't disappoint. I also loved the chili crisp. It was very unique compared to other poke I've had. The butter garlic was good, but I probably would go for other choices.
Deli style, wide variety of poke and sides. Delicious! Staff was enthusiastic, they let you sample the wide variety.

The Young Haole boy with the Shoulder length hair working for Ellie girl fishing on the side of the road is the rudest person ever. incredibly unkind & unfriendly. I always purchase fish from their business on the side of the road & i continued to purchase even after being sold bad fish one time but after the unpleasant interaction with this employee i will never ever be supporting ellie girl fishing again. I will stick to our local fisherman & support local humble fisherman moving forward. Get a better attitude cause yours sucked.
