Wanted to try this restaurant for a few months after hearing the ads on the radio. We decided to go in for the breakfast. Unfortunately I wasn’t very impressed with the flavor of the food. Looked delicious but it was lacking in the taste. I don’t know if it’s for healthier eating or something (since it’s a golf course) but I’d pass on going again.

Was looking for a spot to grab a quick bite as we went thru Hilo. The main road was closed and the side areas had no food stops so Quick Look at google maps and found the Fairway Grill at the golf course. It was very quiet on Wednesday at 1:30p but service was friendly and fast. Had the brisket sandwich with fries and appetizer longanisa sausage. Both very tasty and a good value for the price. Nice to watch the golfers and the dining area is huge. Good place for a relaxing lunch at a fair price

Food overall was decent. The poke dish was delicious though. Definitely would order that again. The service is also excellent, they were dealing with a catered party next door at the am same time and still provided us with great service and made us feel welcome. The set up is unconventional but the people make it feel like a place you’d return to for sure. Employees were excellent and could work at any type of restaurant with their service!

Loved eating by the golf course. Wished we had time and money to go a round. The food was very good. We purchased teriyaki chicken, a burger and street tacos. My favorite part of the meal were the fries! But there was such a limited amount provided. Disappointing. The tacos did not have a lot of flavor, but were good enough. The chicken had more fatty pieces than necessary, but the flavor was really nice. The burger was good.

Well, if I put my "five stamp approval" on someplace, take it to heart please! I'm not just greasing "palms" here, I'm really truly had a five star experience! I'm retired from the automobile business where nothing less than "five stars" was acceptable! I give compliments hard but I also critique even harder!! No "grease jobs" in these opinions of mine! If they treat me bad, oh boy, it won't be pretty! Enjoy and aloha!

Have eaten several times. Had shrimp Flatbread & Lilikoi Margurietta wit Lihemui on Rim last night. BEST IN HAWAII!!! No joke!! Ono!!! Would "absolutely order same 💯 %"!
Poy Boy sandwich and Mahi Mahi sandwich were fantastic. Only downside was the mahi mahi sandwhich fell apart after putting it down. Note to self to leave the big toothpick IN!. Service is less then expected. Not bad, just not above what you'd expect from any random cheap place which this is not. The golf club must be a lower priced club. The steak bites are not what I expected. It's just a steak cut up and cooked with tons of onions and some mushrooms in a brown sauce. Flavor was good but very greasy.
No AC, just fans and open windows which wasn't bad, but I went in expecting air conditioning.
Couple of drunk golfers taking shots at the bar a few feet away and being quite loud made the 3 star atmosphere rating.
Overall I might go back just for the sandwhich or get it to go.
