The food was absolutely delicious, and there are plenty of veggie options. The service was fast and friendly. We were glad we decided to visit Kamana Kitchen

What a gem! As a local who dines out frequently, it is challenging to find variety amongst the heavily Asian influenced restaurants. We initially tried Kaumana Kitchen for this reason and were blown away. We have since eaten there three times and have to pace ourselves as not to burn out. The food is flavorful, well prepared, and served hot. Their Naan is top notch. The prices are reasonable, the service is friendly and efficient and there is plenty of seating.

truly a gem - kamana served us lovely fresh and clean food. we got aloo matar and requested no cream. also the onion kulcha is one of the freshest and perfect kulchas we’ve ever had. even the plain yogurt is so delicious and homemade. must try for authentic comforting indian food

The food was delicious. We ordered Vegetarian thali, Biryani and Aloo paratha and Samosa.
The place was very much nearer to our hotel in Hilo and it is strongly recommended.

Their food is authentic , and every dish goes with another. Every option is delicious. Personally my favorite is the lamb tikka marsalla and the mango lassi for my favorite drink , the royal platter was also amazing , the middle dish that was veggie something and green was my least favorite with the sweet potato curry like dish was my favorite.( forgive me i cant remeber all the names) Their rice is fluffy soft and aromatic. Everything I've tried is wonderful. The chef truly puts in effort for the dishes and its really good. I hate curry like dishes normally and anything similar but my hubs convinced me to go and try and I am happy to say I did as I will come back to try the cheese balls which they sadly were out of when I went, so ive gotta try that dessert. I trying the carrot pudding and well , I didnt personally like it , I wasn't expecting ginger (another thing I dislike heavily) which is probably why I ultimately didnt like that dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant, so many vegan and vegetarian options as well! Truly a good place to get authentic Indian food even me being a highly picky eater was able to enjoy this menu.

This is some of the best Indian food we've had and my wife grew up in a traditional Pakistani household. We had the chicken tika masala level hot, mixed pakora, and garlic cheese naan. The level hot was pretty spicy for my whitie butt, but it was perfect for my wife. The garlic cheese naan was the best we have ever had. The pakora was packed with flavor. We definitely highly recommend this place for the food. The atmosphere was mediocre and the service was fast once we ordered food. Ill forgive all wrongs when the food is spectacular!

We get Indian food all the time (as all vegans do), and this was some of the best we’ve had in a while. Pakora and samosas were perfect. Chana, daal, and eggplant were excellent.

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. We loved it so much we return again and again throughout our stay in Hilo. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. I recommend you get the lunch special, as it is very affordable and delicious.

First of all the staff was very friendly. Ordered the tiki masala, medium heat and garlic naan. It came with a small portion of delicious rice. Chasing Medium heat was perfect for me, spicy but not too hot.
Have to say this was the BEST naan bread I’ve ever eaten. Perfectly crispy on the bottom, yet soft and so flavorful on the top. No burnt garlic, as I’ve gotten elsewhere.
As for the chicken in my tiki masala, unfortunately the chicken was very dry. The sauce was good, a little more warm spices than I typically like, but it was good.
As for the atmosphere, the booth I was seated and had a bright light right above it And the restaurant itself was not extremely welcoming.
I’ve noticed this a lot of her here in Hawaii. So I wasn’t Super disappointed. Other than that bright light.
Also, I didn’t have anyone really come back to my table and ask if everything was OK or if I’d like to have dessert. I think they made a missing on some revenue by not Suggesting certain beverages and also desserts.
Definitely good value for the money. I took half of my meal home with me and reheat it for lunch and it was As good if not better today. I would recommend reheating any of Me, Meet entrées On the stove top and if you happen to get some of the delicious naan and have an air fryer, that’s the way to go. All in all I would definitely recommend.KAMANA Kitchen
One more thing, it’s kinda hard to actually find the restaurant. There’s a sign in the plaza that’s not lit up. No signage pointing down a Type of alleyway where the restaurants are located. I could smell the food, but couldn’t find the restaurant until I asked someone who was in the parking lot.

None of the vegitarian fried food in this restaurant is really vegitarian as its fried in the same fryer and oil where meat or fish is fired. So things like malai kofta and paneer in matar paneer etc are contaminated with meat, fish or egg.
They served undercooked Aloo Jeera, i.e the potatoes were raw .... we could not eat. The smaller pieces were fine but the larger pieces were raw. We showed it to the staff and they brought a fresh portion, but even that had the same issue..... potatos were raw ....

The korma was good .... the rooti were good.

The toilet was in a pathetic condition.... I felt like throwing up. The roadside Dhaba in India have better toilets then this restaurant!

I wanted to talk to the chef to check if the Gulab Jamun was also fired in the contaminated oil .... the chef never came to answer my question... I requested a few times...... and a server said it was fired in separate fryer!

The wort part, the owner is from Nepal, and I'm sure he/she knows what a clean vegitarian food means and he/she is running a restaurant where contaminated food is served....! Pathetic...

The food was good and the staff were friendly. We ordered a Vegetarian Thaali and also took food to go. It was nice to find Indian food on the island.

Really yummy food. When they say spicy they mean SPICY! Flavors were amazing and the naan bread was extra good. Shout out to the server for getting me multiple cups of water.

The food was very good. We ordered chicken biryani, non veg thali and mixed grill. We happened to reach there around 2:30 but called ahead so staff could start preparing our menu and this way we did not end up staying during their lunch break. The staff didn't seem very welcoming and they started turning off lights at 3pm while we were finishing our food which was kinda rude. The staff was also not very polite.
