It has accessible parking but was closed during a weekday lunch, so we didn’t get to try it.
Stayed in Hilo for for a few nights and happened to stumble across this place and glad I did. The atmosphere was lively, the food was excellent, and the prices reasonable. Would definitely come again if I’m ever in Hilo again.

Our family was craving Japanese food, and after checking online reviews, we decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was packed with locals, which felt like a good sign — we waited about 20 minutes for a table.
The food isn’t exactly traditional Japanese; it’s more of a Hawaiian fusion, which made for an interesting twist. The grilled beef was extremely salty — like, really salty — probably due to over-marination. On the bright side, the grilled salmon inside was tasty and went okay with the rice. The fried chicken katsu was pretty good too.
Portions were huge! If you’re not a big eater, you might find yourself stuffed halfway through — which, honestly, is a good problem to have.

The steak was too dry and charred even though I ordered medium, ramen was a little too salty and too fishy for my taste but probably because we ordered miso. The best thing about this place was the service with quick, friendly, and attentive servers.

Honestly one of the worst dining experiences l've ever had. We were a party of two, seated an hour after opening and the restaurant was not busy at all when we were seated. We waited 10-15 minutes to put in our order. Another table of two seated after us, got their food, ate and left while we were still waiting for food. We waited over an hour for our food with barely any communication from the staff completely unacceptable. We watched as they pumped out take out orders about close to 20 plates, while another couple who came in after us walked out after asking the status of their order. After the couple left without receiving this order, another waitress eventually came to our table to apologize for the wait and told us they hadn’t even put in our ticket yet and asked if we still wanted to wait for our food. A basic apology, no offer to comp us after waiting for 1 hour and 20 mins for nothing. We decided to leave hungry and not waste any more of our time there. If you value your time and good customer service, I'd suggest going somewhere else that values its customers.
