Good solid long time fixture in Hilo. I have to at least once while in town.

Classic resturant, you can never go wrong here.

Best pancakes! The three syrups are to die for. Macadamia nut pancakes with a little of each of those, I wanna crawl inside and eat my way out of it. Fluffy delicious egg omelettes. The service is wonderful. We were there for 10 days and ate at Ken’s three out of the 10. It probably would’ve been more if I had anything to say about it, but it was almost a 40 minute drive from our Airbnb. 100% worth it.

This is an "old school cafe" style, and that's the kind I really like. The omelet was giant and delicious, and to be honest, you could really share it! Coffee was okay, but not the best. I only gave the restaurant a 4 because it was good and I would eat there again, but it wasn't "knock my socks of" kind of good and that was where I put all my 5 stars at.

Service was great, staff was friendly but the food was pretty average. Just stuff that you could get anywhere and not special. Good place if you’re hungry and need something to eat but I wouldn’t go out of your way to come eat here.

Do not waste your time. Ken’s is the ultimate tourist trap. The service is terrible, food quality is poor and it’s overpriced. I used to come here all the time in the mid 80’s and early 90’s as a kid. I came back to show my husband a place I used to frequent as a keiki local Hilo girl. Not sure what happened but Ken’s is not what it used to be. The waitstaff are rude and unwelcoming, the food is ridiculously overpriced and poor in quality. I would advise against wasting your time and money here

Worth swimming from CA!

Best dinner in the Pacific with attentive welcoming staff. 20 mins from the cruise dock or 1-mile from the airport.

Two days’ calorie allowance on a single plate!

First time here. Had eggs, hash browns, and pancakes with coconut and maple syrup. All was delicious and service was friendly! Mahalo!
