Overpriced location... $17.99 just for a loco moco! I understand locations vary based on the rent of the establishment but still. Just sharing my experience.

I am visiting the Big Island and decided to stop by L&L and have some "Barbecue". First off, I paid 41$ for the meat combo plate, Orange chicken mini dish and a small soda. No refill on the almost 4$ soda... service was quite slow... the food was really nothing to be proud of.. about the only thing it had going for it was it was hot... other than that I am highly disappointed and will not be supporting this local chain again. L&L for lack and luster..*** Update*** 4/8/24L&L did reply to my review citing economic conditions for the prices and affordability of their "Barbecue" ... however, affordability isn't the issue ... it is the quality of the food for the cost I was reviewing... regardless of the current economy .. for the money you charge not only should I receive better service but I should also get a better quality meal.. the food in my opinion was close to terrible and frankly I could have gotten better quality food for the price at McDonald's.

The pictures on doordash are not of the food they serve. I was expecting barbecue, like Texas barbecue. That is not what I received. They had a picture of ribs, mac n cheese, coleslaw, barbecue chicken and they offered none of that. I got the trio type sample and it was the worst thing possible. The "short ribs" were thinner than construction paper.

The food was good and the service was friendly. Considering the other reviews, I guess we got lucky with our orders.

Favorites: Grilled Salmon "healthy plate" has brown rice and green salad as sides. Kalua Pork and Cabbage all white rice l, chicken egg rolls, egg fu young. That's all you need to know! Get "to go" and eat at home, coconut island or at another nearby park.

On July 1, 2023, three of us embarked on a journey to visit all 12 L&L locations on Big Island and eat one order of musubi at each restaurant. This was our 8th stop on our 11+ hour journey. This is hands down the worst location on island. The food court atmosphere is so unpleasant. There is an arcade/kids fun zone attached and there are kids everywhere and all screaming. The bathroom was filthy. Nothing here is nice. The food tasted fine, but is the most expensive location on island and not worth the extra money. If you are craving L&L, just drive 10 minutes to the downtown location by the farmers market. It is so much better than this spot.Service was fine, they didn't really want to give us any stickers, but it was still ok service. I would avoid this location at all costs. Sorry if you are the owner reading this, but this is just not a great location.

L&L is a delightful choice for lunch. I got the mini chicken katsu, and the portion was more than expected! The mac salad was good, the chicken plentiful and crispy, rice was on point, and the katsu sauce is the best I have found on island so far :)

The service was good but the food ??. Got fish n chips, Terri beef plate and spicy chicken plate. All 3 were horrible ?? chips was not salted and undercook, fish was bland and not at all how a fish n chips should be. Ended up throwing all 3 plates away. Their spicy chicken was pretty much sweet chilli sauce mixed with bbq sauce nothing spicy about it and their beef was dry and just as tasteless. Their prices doubled and you would think the food would at least be better then fast food, should’ve went to McDs instead. Save your money and go somewhere else. Still got a strange taste in my mouth from the Terri beef my daughter couldn’t finish.

Went there mostly for the boba teas. Mango is the best!
