The pho, vermicelli bowl, and banh mi are solid. Ask them about vegan stuff, they’re good about questions even though the menu isn’t detailed about it.
Came to visit Hilo with the family, and this restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and the owner came to greet us and made it feel like a home cooked meal.
Thank you for the amazing food and your hospitality

Delicious pho with large portions. The spring rolls with peanut sauce are great; just ask to have them made with tofu. Servers are vegan-aware and can show you how menu items can be made vegan, if you ask. EDIT: fried tofu is not vegan at this point, due to the batter! double check with your server when ordering Updated from previous review on 2022-10-14

Lunch restaurant on the Big Island one-day tour.
The food itself is 3 points. However, this is not a place to eat after taking a 10-hour plane ride to the Big Island of Hawaii (probably due to the economic logic of travel agencies and guides).
Basically, this restaurant is unconvincing considering the economic power of people who come to Hawaii. A better option would be for the tour company to raise the price and go to a better restaurant, or to let people eat on their own. The Subway next door is delicious.

The rice noodles are too salty and the yuringi are too hard.

One of the most unexpectedly delicious and enjoyable meals of our entire Hawaii trip thus far. A must try!!
My parents and I stumbled upon this spot and were absolutely blown away. They ordered a selection of their childhood/home style favourites that you don’t often see at usual Viet restaurants - canh chua (sour soup), ca kho to (braised fish), papaya salad, fried prawn, and I also ordered the oxtail soup. The chef nailed every dish.
Nothing more to say, come here and enjoy for yourself folks.

Looking forward to getting some shrimp summer rolls for a snack. You get three per order and they’re pretty big but there is only one shrimp cut in half for each roll a little on the stingy side. Let’s move onto the innards which consisted only being sprouts lettuce and vermicelli. No vegetables and the most disappointing was that there was no basil, mint, or cilantro. And this order cost 850.. They should be ashamed. If they don’t know the recipe look it up, but don’t try to fake us out with Lettuce, bean, sprouts, and vermicelli some of which was not cooked. If they can’t make a simple spring roll, I have no intention going back to see what else they can’t make.!!

Restaurantji Recommends
The food is absolutely delicious and well prepared. The atmosphere is welcoming but space's are a bit dated and needs a revamp. Customer service and support is adequate but could adapt to greater attentive support. I always recommend this place, esp since it is low-key and not merely overtaken with Tourists, which is far better than those eatery environments

Well, it is not the same Lamʻs we grew up with. Donʻt order the salt and pepper pork, what you will get is crumbs of fat fried that fill the playe under a bed of bell peppers and some onions! One or two bite sizes of fried pork! Where did the pork go? Plenty sugars in the sauces are heavy in the bok choy with garlic!! Be careful!!! Not happy….

The pho was as good as the best pho I've had at other places in California and Virginia. Perfect place to get pho especially during a rain storm

To start, the plates they brought us had roaches. Most I can say bout the food was it satisfied my hunger. Had beef and flank pho, noodles were basically mush, wasn't exactly a satisfying texture. Brother was ok, not exactly an authentic Vietnamese pho broth. Chili oil isn't spicy at all but definitely sweet which kinda ruined the pho even more. This is at least the jar on our table. Also ordered summer rolls, peanut butter sauce was good. Rolls were quite bitter which im assuming was the lettuce. All around I dont recommend it nor will I be coming back ever again.
If you are craving pho, I do highly recommend Pho 99 which isn't too far from this place. Pho 99 has been the best pho I've had on this island so far.
