We travel far to get to Miyos and the one thing we expect to eat, especially at a Japanese restaurant, is tofu; they didn't have it. We are vegetarians so it was very disappointing.

The fish items were excellent, service was very slow - the menu is expansive. The Sashimi 3rd choice add on for 20$ is ridiculous for 3 very small pieces, where a whole Ahi roll is only 18$.

Food was great and wait staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they were short staffed, so we had to wait a long time for our drinks and food.

We waited 30 minutes before anyone even checked on us or took our order. It took another 30 minutes to get our food and some of our food was cold.

Excellent food. In the past, that has been paired with excellent service as well. This particular visit for the Christmas Eve menu did not provide that level of service. Food was still very tasty, but the overall experience was not satisfying. We'll give it another shot at some point based on past positive experiences.

Great place to dine with great food and customer service. Lots of parking places as well!!

I love this place. Miyo is one of those places where you can have a fantastic meal that is worth the price. It's visually appealing, looks and tastes incredible. The staff are friendly, even when it's busy. I really enjoy coming here.

Our server Julia was so friendly and gave us wonderful food recommendations. The food was delicious!

Chefs Koa, Ekolu and sushi maker Kayden? If the BEST! We can't forget the ladies on the bar side for being amazing as well. We always enjoy our time at Miyo's but this night was special. My husband and I had a great night with great food and better company, the workers. Lee up the great work!! Mahalo for having us. Da Kūali'i's 🤙🏽

Made a reservation through OpenTable for the bar, but were told by the host it was not available, and a couple were seated at the bar right after we were helped? Thankfully the service and food were great, our server was attentive, friendly, and not annoying, and we continue to enjoy coming here despite the seating hiccup. Also, non-alcoholic or alcohol-removed name brands have been trending for a while (and are quite good!), and it would be nice to have more than one option on the menu.

Expect to get very small portions of your entrée, along with a giant salad. Considering the adequate food quality and very limited quantity, especially for the price, I highly recommend going elsewhere.

A popular Hilo neighborhood Japanese eatery with a wide range of menu items, all well prepared. We tried the corn ribs, sautéed eggplant and sushi rolls. Bento boxes looked like good value. Would definitely go again.

The tempura and carpaccio as starters were great. Innovative cocktails, and always service with a smile. My duck was very tasty, which was part of a "Fall Menu." If they keep exploring with seasonal menus, I will be going back on a regular basis.
