Best spot on the island for date night :)

Incredible seafood, great atmosphere and wonderful service makes it the perfect trifecta for dinner night out in Hilo.

All the seafood dishes we tried were great! The Smokey sashimi was terrific and the garlic butter ahi belly was especially divine and we couldn’t resist ordering a second plate!

Food was incredible & so fresh. Cocktails (we had The Silk Road & Lychee Press) were some of the best we’ve ever had.

SO. GOOD.
Each dish was unique and flavorful. We had 1 small dish and 2 'large' ones and ate very slow because the food really made you want to savor each bite. We even had room to try 2 desserts and both left pleasently full, but not overstuffed. Every dish was so on point! Luxurious. Drinks were delicious. Our server was just lovely and so attentive.
We just ate at fancy Waimea restaurant today (the day after) who were much more expensive farm to table kine experiance and it honestly didn't hold a candle to our experiance at Moon and Turtle.
Go Eat Here!!!

We were lucky to grab a table, this place is fully booked. It is a semi-casual restaurant atmosphere although the food is fine dining. The chef is very skilled. The Ceviche was amazing! Overall we were satisfied

Happy, just happy place…
enjoyed the awesome food and services with my family, servers and fellow customers at the bar during happy hour. Each drink, dish and dessert we ordered met the high bar. The ambiance was also interesting to look at. made my day!!

What a seafood culinary experience! Food is served family style, where everyone gets to share in the same tastes together.

Great innovative food by hard working young chefs. Very hard to make a reservation so call several days ahead. The food was a little bit salty though. The clams were fresh but not sure why the little pasta balls were there. Added nothing to the dish. The miso cheesecake was the best cheesecake I ever had!

Just all around perfect. This was the best meal of our trip after a week of visiting Kihei, Kona and Hilo.

The dishes shared among two were: smoky sashimi, seared ahi belly, and octopus campanelle. All were excellent!

The place is tiny, and they seat people at the bar, so I recommend the Hidden Nēnē a couple of blocks away for a pre-dinner cocktail…or two.

Showed up at 10 minutes past open on a Thursday and told that since we didn't have a reservation earliest they could seat us was 8 despite a pretty empty room. (Seems kind of laughable since even really desirable restaurants in much bigger cities will try to squeeze you in if you can promise to flip the table in under an hour). After sorting by one star reviews it was pretty enlightening and feel like we dodged a bullet after enjoying a great meal at cafe pesto. Maybe their tactic is creating fake demand/exclusiveness for the #fomo crowd even if the quality is not there or inconsistent. Either that or their operations are amateur which would explain why they can't even stand up a simple website or open table integration (sorry what year is it?)

This is my favorite restaurant I’ve ever been to. Actually planned a trip to Big Island to back country hike around the availability of a reservation here! The food is unbelievably delicious. I had striped marlin with clams and Kauai shrimp that melted in my mouth. Bananarama cocktail was smooth and fresh. Sizzling poke with ogo I wouldn’t miss.

Dietary restrictions: The waitress immediately went to the chef with the menu and then promptly brought back a marked up menu for my friend who cannot eat dairy. Soooo helpful and clear. Much appreciated.
