The fresh mango drink was amazing! I had the birria lunch plate and it was sooo good too! There are cute shops nearby too with crafts, books, and souvenirs. I highly recommend this place for good Mexican food

Panchos is by far, my favorite Mexican food place to eat. It’s always delicious and affordable. I eat there once a week at different locations and highly recommend them if you’re looking for excellent authentic Mexican food. ps: I go to a little village in Mexico almost every year and love the people as much as I love their food. Excellent Mexican food in Pahoa, definitely not on my bingo card for my trip to Hawaii. They offer a variety of dishes and protein options, and the price is pretty good considering you’re in the middle of the Pacific. Their horchata is also among the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had quite a bit. They travel around to different locations throughout the week, including a stop in Hilo on Thursdays, but the setup in Pahoa included live music which made it even better. You may have to wait in line for a bit to order, but the food comes out quickly and it’s absolutely worth it.
