Excellent Mexican food in Pahoa, definitely not on my bingo card for my trip to Hawaii. They offer a variety of dishes and protein options, and the price is pretty good considering you’re in the middle of the Pacific. Their horchata is also among the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had quite a bit. They travel around to different locations throughout the week, including a stop in Hilo on Thursdays, but the setup in Pahoa included live music which made it even better. You may have to wait in line for a bit to order, but the food comes out quickly and it’s absolutely worth it.

I pick up food at least twice a week from Panchos, usually after swimming because it’s very filling! Tacos for me or the Burrito for my grandson, I also love the Sinaloa burrito plate and Mulita!

Seriously, EVERYONE has to try this spot!
I cruised through town looking for something to munch on when I stumbled across Panchos.
Being from Texas, I was seriously wow'd by the quality and flavor of their Birria de Res taco plate. It may even be the best Birria I've ever had - and we have A LOT to choose from here.
Staff was great. Plenty of condiments, napkins, and utensils. Great sitting area if you have time.

Always wanted to try it. The price was the only thing enjoyable and it tasted like leftovers.

Worth the wait in line! A HUGE tasty vegan burrito for $10!!!!! Highly recommend—not sure if you can order ahead to skip the wait, but that would be a great plus to do

The Best tacos on the east side of the island. They are located in Pahoa on tues/wed, thurs at Ben Franklin in Hilo & Fridays at Kai store in Hilo from 9-3pm. Get there early because like any good eatery the line gets long. I definitely recommend the tacos. I really like the chorizo, barbacoa, carne asada & al pastor.

Woah hands down best authentic Mexican food on island! Pancho has brought all the tastiest dishes from Mexico and never disappoints! The mole sauce is so incredibly delicious. I'm hooked!Especially love the enchilada mole dish. Just wow.

Kid-friendliness: My kid devoured everything he ever ordered here. The burritos are his favorite.

Their food have always tasted good here! We mostly order tacos, mulitas and quesabirria tacos. I would suggest picking up your food before 11am to avoid the lunch rush and the long wait line. I definitely recommend!

Parking: Parking is free in the gravel area next to the food truck.
