I bought the beans by mail order. They were ok. More chocolate than anything, light and subtle. Not the old time Kona profile but climate change I guess. At $80 a pound plus shipping don't like it twice as much as other Kona beans from farms.
Hours not consistent. Hours said they were open today. They are not open and it’s a Saturday morning……
Very cool spot for gourmet coffee.

Apparently the pour over process can be quite long. We watched the couple in front of us being prepared a pour over and after 10 min we decided to leave. We were not greeted or acknowledged in any way. I was hoping for an espresso machine but they didn’t have one. Can’t comment on the quality of coffee or food we never arrived at that place in our Paradise Coffee journey

Great cold brew. I purchased beans as well.
Paradise Coffee in Hilo is a cozy gem with rich, flavorful brews served by knowledgeable friendly staff. A must-stop in Hilo for every coffee lover!
The best local coffee available! This is a true coffee shop that serves fresh locally grown coffee. The store front is inside the actual roasting facility where you can enjoy the aroma of fresh, quality beans roasted to perfection. They offer free samples of their delicious coffee and the barista is extremely knowledgeable.
Great coffee! Geisha is a must try! Pour over is on point!
Amazing coffee. Cute little shop with a couple of seats, they serve only coffee (in a few different forms). Street parking, or a paid lot with plenty of space across the street.
This is the place for specialty coffee. The coffee is sourced locally as well as worldwide. They have connections with some of the finest in the world. They roast on site in small batches. I sampled the Ka'u Peaberry, highly recommend. Excellent Customer service, they took the time to explain their coffees and were not rushed. Check their schedule, they are only open certain days.

A wonderful local coffee spot in Hilo. We tried the cold brew and the pour-over, both of which had delightful aromas and unique flavors. The barista was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Great coffee, great vibes, great staff. A good selection of local coffees to choose from if you wanna take some beans to go, or if you wanna have a drink there. The guy at the counter was super chill and friendly and made a great pour over. I got the Kona Tropical Punch Washed, and damn if it ain't some fine coffee. The store is small, so you'll wanna grab your drink and go. If you're looking for some specialty coffee/beans, this is the place to go
Best coffee on the island
a must stop if you’re in the area and into coffee! Very no-frills and the focus is on coffee. I sampled three different cold brews and they were all great. Took a cup of half and half to go but ended up not needing it! Only wish they opened earlier!
Phenomenal experience.
I had an espresso, cold brew and drip at the cafe in Hilo.
For espresso, I had the Hawaiian island blend I think? The espresso was just ok - it was a bit too hot. In general it’s tough to pull a Hawaiian espresso. But I have had some other great ones on the island - Hico pulls a decent one. A Lina Micra might be in order for the cafe ;) a great machine for dialing in the temperature.
The cold brew was the yellow pacamara I think? It was decent. Not super sweet, but tangy and unique for a cold brew.
I ended with a Kona tropical drip. Wow. First few sips were nice. After this cooled down for about 20 minutes this drip just popped. It was like sipping on a koolaid burst bottle.
I went down the road to big island coffee roasters with the Kona tropical drip in hand, and ordered a light and sweet flight. The staff and big island roasters were very nice…but none of the 3 drips in the flight came close to the flavour in the Kona tropical from paradise. It gave new meaning to the term fruit bomb.
I might have to go back to the Hilo cafe this trip to try that geisha champagne drip…
