Well prices are very high and it's a total hit and miss with your order. Service is typically ok. It was not warm and friendly. Easter specials were way over priced. Like this is Hawaii only tourist have this kind is money to blow. And oh yes, if you're service $44 prime rib dine serve it cold! And yes Ponds you have a nice view of a water area all the kids come to play in, but that doesn't mean I'll pay extra for it and get Mediocre service and food. The bus boy wa s the highlight he was nice and attentive.

AMAZING!!!! The restaurant overlooks the water and service was amazing! Drinks were priced great and delicious! We had the great Cliff IPA, a Hawaiian mojito, and Lychee martini! All were amazing! Food wise we had Crab Spinach Dip, Crab & Shrimp Mac and cheese, pork plate, and fish plate! We all loved our dishes! Server was amazing and very helpful! 10/10!

Nice friendly service. Clean with lots of window views of the Hilo Bay area. I had the French dip sandwich and it was good but a bit pricey at $24 but I guess that due to the inflation we are all experiencing now. The place is dated but charming. Would recommend this restaurant for good food and good views.

Nice Hawaiian ambiance. You can feed the fish from your table if you sit by a window. Food is expensive for what it is. I would say it's so so. Our server was good though.

Tried this place for the first time. We ordered the #2 special (butter poached lobster pasta) and the #3 special (prime rib with lobster tail). Lets start with the drinks.... not happy with the quality or the amount of time it took for the drinks to come to the table (our soup came out and we finished it with time to spare before the drinks came out). On to the food, the soup (seafood chowder) was quite good but side salad not as good. One of the #2 specials we ordered had "old" looking lobster and was mushy and was in little chuncks (like it was pieces off different plates and put into an old shell). One of the #3 specials the prime rib was over half fat and not good, the mashed potatoes were cold, the sauce was cold and butter separated (both #3's had several cold components). The waiter seemed like he was distracted and didnt remember several things. Definitely not the dinner we expected with the reviews, will not be going back.

I had the most amazing dinner here. The server was on it every single time. This place is intimate and romantic. The views are beautiful and the koi fish are a plus. I've been here twice and would already love to go back.

I had a bloody mary and fish fry with scallops and shrimp. The bloody was terrible. Way too much horseradish and no other spice in sight.Fried fish, shrimp and scallops were bland and soggy. There was not salt or pepper in sight. Flavorless. Just got thrown into the fryer. Accompanied by basic fries, tarter sauce and cabbage. Not worth $29. Our entire party did not care for their meal.I don’t understand why this place had 4 starts. There was a rug in the toilet stall and shower curtain to separate the urinal.

A very cool little place to eat. A Coi Pond underneath, a lagoon full of fish, a beautiful ocean view and amazing food. The outside could use some fresh paint but the inside was rustic and filled with character. So many choices of food to try. I would definitely go back again.
