Food was great, truly all you need to know. Chicken katsu was crisp and the chicken pita flavorful. Good prices and good portions.

This is a great little hole in the wall for some authentic Hawaiian food. We had the fried shrimp and curry rice, which was excellent!

Service is really bad. Won’t recommend! I won’t be there again. Lady is rude without reason.
For real, you will lose in social media.

The man who worked here when we came in in mid November was the epitome of aloha. So kind and welcoming. We had never been before and took his time to explain the menu and make suggestions. For parents travelling with three kids you feel like a burden on a small restaurant like this but again, he was so welcoming to all of us. The Miso garlic katsu was our favorite! So so good. The lamb was also super yummy. Chicken katsu was good, just not as good as the other two.

Local, ono, kine grub! Chicken katsu is amazing. Potato Mac salad is delicious, garlic rice is a curry garlic rice, very surprising but also delicious!

Lived in Hilo all my life, this is one of my most favorite places to eat in Hilo. Small hole in the wall, with limited space, but great food and service.

Food was amazing. Even after I was stuffed I still kept eating! I ordered a Chicken Katsu and it was the best Katsu I've ever had. Better than all those other fancy restaurants! Small restaurant but it deserves way more. Such a hidden gem.

We arrived just before they closed and they were super nice. Made sure to get our order in and did not turn us away. Friendliest people Ive met so far... not to mention the food was beyond amazing. The shrimp curry, chicken curry and pita were the best I've ever had and the potato salad was phenomenal. Simple but flavorful with the perfe t blend of egg and crunch
The food here is sooo good, the bentos are definitely worth it!

Food is really great and reasonably priced. Not a lot of room for dining but great to just pick up. It is close to a lot of little shops so good to stop in for a quick bite.

Tiny shop, big taste, HUGE serving size! I stopped by while on walkabout, ordered chicken katsu... expecting a basic plate lunch.
I was SURPRISED. The serving size was huge, with a salad and ?garlic? rice. Saffron? So much food. Either share a plate, expect take home, or ask for a small serving.
Service was very aloha friendly. Very little seating, expect to do takeout for a park, hotel, etc, or if you are lucky, a seat.
It looked popular with both locals and tourists.
Very tasty!
