Local, ono, kine grub! Chicken katsu is amazing. Potato Mac salad is delicious, garlic rice is a curry garlic rice, very surprising but also delicious!

Lived in Hilo all my life, this is one of my most favorite places to eat in Hilo. Small hole in the wall, with limited space, but great food and service.

Food was amazing. Even after I was stuffed I still kept eating! I ordered a Chicken Katsu and it was the best Katsu I've ever had. Better than all those other fancy restaurants! Small restaurant but it deserves way more. Such a hidden gem.

We arrived just before they closed and they were super nice. Made sure to get our order in and did not turn us away. Friendliest people Ive met so far... not to mention the food was beyond amazing. The shrimp curry, chicken curry and pita were the best I've ever had and the potato salad was phenomenal. Simple but flavorful with the perfe t blend of egg and crunch

Food is really great and reasonably priced. Not a lot of room for dining but great to just pick up. It is close to a lot of little shops so good to stop in for a quick bite.

Tiny shop, big taste, HUGE serving size! I stopped by while on walkabout, ordered chicken katsu... expecting a basic plate lunch.

I was SURPRISED. The serving size was huge, with a salad and ?garlic? rice. Saffron? So much food. Either share a plate, expect take home, or ask for a small serving.

Service was very aloha friendly. Very little seating, expect to do takeout for a park, hotel, etc, or if you are lucky, a seat.

It looked popular with both locals and tourists.

Very tasty!

I ordered the grill ahi with white rice it also came with a greens salad the portion was not worth the price $28 + the AHI was small chunk burnt on all sides when cut into the insides were dry dry no taste crunchy on outside I was very disappointed I wish I had taken a photo before I threw it out the wait time from order to to take out was quite a wait 20-30 minutes

What a cool place to eat. The food was fantastic. You get to look at at the Hilo bay. The service was fantastic and as well as the cooks. Yummy

Fish, lamb, and salad are all locally sourced. They make their own yogurt for their marinade! Delicious! Highly recommend the sautéed local caught fish with salad and sautéed local lamb with garlic rice.

Watery, flavorless shrimp curry. Yuck. Cooks...please taste your food before serving to customers and charging money.

1st time in Hilo. Food and service was excellent. We almost didn't go in because of the appearance but are glad we did. It is very small. The waitress was super helpful with our questions about the area.

Sooo Good !! We came across this little spot walking from the Farmers Market, and we are so glad we did. We ordered the Ahi tuna pita and it was absolutely fantastic, so fresh and tasty. It seemed like they do a ton of take out business as they were busy the entire time we were there. They told us a lot of people come over from Kona just to eat. I see why.. There are only a few tables but totally worth it ! And the guys on the grill were singing and happy and friendly...great find .
