Was disappointed of my visit there, had a lot of expectations. First it is so overpriced, I can't make ma Head over 27$ for 2 nigiri blue fin tuna. Was way more expensive then other restaurants we did. The taste was not there. For that price I would have expected perfect taste, but wasn't the case. Rice was not as smooth and fish was ok.
The quality was average and did not meet the price they asked for.
I do not recommend this place with the experience we had.
The fish my husband had wad really fat and tasteless.

My favorite place for a date with my wife or a quiet place to have an intimate business lunch. The food is always excellent and the staff is fast and efficient.

It's a bit hard to find, follow the signs. Imo one of the best Japanese restaurants on the big island.
Great sushi, excellent service. It's a little bit hidden away down a walkway between two stores.

We came here excited, to be in a spot that fresh fish is readily available, and one of the reviews stated best sushi in Hilo.No way. Worst sushi ever, fish was tasteless, even the rice was hard and unappealing.

If you're into Classical Japanese dishes, this place is worth checking out. They offer a variety of traditional options, and we tried the Chirashi Sushi along with a Dinner featuring Fried Fish, Chicken Katsu, and Pork Shogayaki. The food overall was good, with everything tasting fresh. However, our experience was hindered by slow service – we had to wait quite a while for our dishes and any additional requests. On a positive note, the green tea dessert was a tasty end to our meal.

We ordered the lunch special with tempura and teriyaki chicken. Miso soup was delivered first. It was tasty and hot. It took quite awhile to get the rest of our lunch. The chicken, rice, and tempura was warm, not hot. The lettuce in the salad was brown on the edges. Food was tasty, but would have been much better if it had been served hot. They shouldn’t serve old lettuce in the salad.
