I got my turkey dinner from the deli this year. They had it on time. I was skeptical because in the past, from another store the premade dinner was terrible. This was delicious. Turkey was tender, potatoes were real and plenty butter. Dressing was good, and the gravy and cranberry sauce was good. The best part easy clean up! Good job

Our Safeway in Hilo has a pretty good selection of almost all food items from local and mainland venders . Prices are average for its location and the staff is great and very helpful !! Plus with your Safeway card you can get .10 cents a gallon for every 100$ spent . Points can be accumulated throughout the month for maximum savings !!!

I've got to stop trying to buy fried chicken at the deli. Both times have been horrible. Today I got 3 pieces and the edible parts that weren't over fried and dried out would have maybe made one piece. Very disappointing. On a positive note, the potato Mac salad was great.

Love this place!! Great wings and olive bar!! Deli has great sandwiches and salads and so much more!! Yes it’s a little pricey but go on $5.00 Friday and you will find deals.

So while waiting at the deli this afternoon to purchase fried chicken, the female employee was on the phone. The wait continued as she chatted away on her phone, oblivious to my presence as she stood facing me while I waited and she chatted in her phone. At the 3 minute mark...yes that is correct, 3 MINUTES, her male co-worker recognized that she was not getting off her phone and gave her a disgusted look and proceeded to prepare my order. As I left to pay at the cashier, guess what?! Miss "I don't need this job" was still in her phone. Safeway should dock her pay for that period and let her go find a job where she gets paid for talking on her phone. Good luck.

For several weeks now my husband's favorite bakery bread is no longer featured on the bakery shelves. When I inquired about this I was told I could order it special. As we had several loaves in our freezer, it was not until yesterday that I needed to make this request. Everyone i dealt with in the bakery yesterday and this morning bent over backwards to make sure I got what I wanted. You'd have thought I was ordering a fancy wedding cake! This store's bakery staff is the best.

Very nice store and staff is very helpful. They have a great selection of items to choose from. My only complaint would be the prices like a can of soup for over $4.00 a can totally stupid, would never pay that. But other things knot to bad. Overall a pretty good store

I love this store! It has an amazing selection on food. It's well organized. Employees are always nice. However.. I pulled out a bag of cucumbers from my fridge after buying them a day ago, they look okay but they are all slimy..very slimy..gross??! Trash. I always look at my receipt and the last couple times I've been, there were doubled orders and no mark offs for the 50% items I had purchased. Hope by posting this cashiers will be more aware.. the produce.. etc.
