Fresh sushi. Fast service once get seated on a busy night it might take a while. But probably I'm the best sushi restaurant on the big island

We checked in as a family of four and were seated, but ended up waiting almost an hour—50 minutes to be exact—without anyone coming by to take our order. We even saw another family who arrived 10–15 minutes after us get served and receive their food before us. My other half finally had to go up and ask a worker at the check-in area, and thankfully he came over, took our order, and got everything out right away. 🙄 By then, we were definitely frustrated and hangry! 😠 But huge thanks to the server (I wish I remembered his name 🫤) who turned the night around—he was quick, kind, and made sure we were taken care of. 🙌🏽🙂 The food ended up being great, and we tipped him very well 🤗. After all, everyone’s in a good mood after a good meal! 👌🏽👍🏽

The quality of food was excellent, except for the entree portion. I ordered a Teriyaki Chicken Bento. It had 5-7 pieces thinly sliced chicken, which was so minimal!! I have had other bentos; Chickrn pieces were larger and a generous amount of chicken pieces too. It wasn’t worth the price!! I will no return again.

Wow! What a great place. From friendly service, to exceptionally quick delicious food this place is a great choice for a meal while in Hilo. I even forgot my credit card and they had it there ready and waiting for me when I returned a couple hours later. Thank you to all! Wonderful service.

The sushi rolls here were outstanding! We ordered off the Chef's list and each of the rolls were incredible. The chicken teriyaki was so so. Wait staff were on their toes and quick. 10/10 would recommend.

Great sushi! This place is off the beaten trail but worth finding. All the rolls we tried were very good and the service was wonderful.
This restaurant seems to set a standard. Some dishes not always served plated the same. Sometimes it was served fancy and other times on a plate. Sometimes flowers and decorations and Sometimes none. Some sushi restaurants near by are of lesser quality and a few superlative.

Hilton closed both restaurants and gift shop, so NO FOOD available in the 4 hrs before tsunami...but Sakura is open!!! Super tasty food too!!!
