Its a foodtruck in a parking lot. Lot of street parking. Got Falafel sandwich and man it was the largest one i ever had in last 10 years. They really fill it up and the price doesn’t disappoint you. The plate has two extra falafel with hummus, and I decided to skip. Nothing to go wrong here. Simple and great sandwich.

Placed my order and the dude leaves for like 15 minutes and nobody is preparing the food. With no other customers it took more than 30 mins to get my food. No sense of urgency

Best hummus I’ve found on the island. EXCELLENT FALAFEL. Authentic pickled bits. So good.

We stumbled upon this place while visiting the farmers market in Hilo. We were not looking to eat, but the smell and aroma were too tempting. We had their falafel wrap and mezza platter. The portions were generous, taste was authentic and the service was exceptional. If you’re in the mood for an authentic lebanese/ Mediterranean meal Tabaraka food truck is your place!

Food was amazing! Their wraps are generously stuffed! We had Falafel and Beirut wraps. Both turned out delicious! The owners are a friendly couple that made us feel welcomed. Highly recommended when in Hilo.

The kind of food cultural diversity I look for here on Hawaii. Wonderful flavor and quality put into the dishes…talking to the owner I could feel the pride put into the food they serve. Looking forward to going back for more, mahalo Tabaraka!

Love the falafel and fries! Unfortunately the cost has gone up so much can hardly go there now.

Edit: I've been eating this guys food for many years. The prices have steadily increased (to be expected to a degree) and the hours always reducing. However, this most recent time I went, I was extremely disappointed. I ordered what I believed to be the best fries on the island and was told a large order was $6.50. Okay. When I opened my food, I immediately noticed they were different fries. One bite I knew they were Ore Ida. I went to speak to the lady vending. The sign clearly said "homemade fries." She confirmed they were frozen fries and that there was nothing she could do about it. The entire menu went up in price even from three months ago. Sad to say, we won't be back. But we've enjoyed your food very much for the past eight years or so!

Parking: Close to library, post office, downtown, mostly easy parking

Kid-friendliness: Outdoor dining, so less stuffy and conforming, kids can be a little louder

I've been eating here since it was only a canopy at Maku'u. Always Ono grinds! Now though, the prices have gone up tremendously and now also the food is slipping. Today I paid $6.50 for a large order of homemade fries, per menu board (my favorite on the island!!). Imagine my surprise when I was sold a rather small portion of fries from the frozen section of a chain grocery. Unfortunately we probably won't make it back here.
