No matter what and when, me and my husband will end up at a Japanese restaurant. I really enjoyed this restaurant in Hilo. We were beach and waterfall hopping and this was such a great stop for us for a meal. I got the mini ramen, love that they have this option btw with chicken katsu to share and my husband got the ramen and takoyaki. Chicken katsu was great with the sauce, it was tasty along with the mac salad. The ramen was also pretty decent! They have a good amount of choices to choose from the menu but really can’t go wrong with the katsu and ramen!
Service was really great too, servers were very kind. Food came out quick. Highly recommend eating here if you’re craving some Japanese food.

We decided to get their garlic ramen, takoyaki, and sweet potato creme brulee as a desert. Everything was perfect. It was so delicious that we came back the next day to try more dishes before we had to fly out. I wish more places like this existed. Every other ramen place we tried in Hawaii couldn't live up to this place. I highly suggest eating here, good prices and delicious food.

The best ramen we have had in a very long time. We went on a Sunday evening and had just a 15 minutes wait time. We ordered Taiwan Ramen and Tonkotsu Miso Kakuni Ramen. The pork belly was exquisitely tender and flavorful. Taiwan Ramen had just the perfect spice level. Both of them had an amazing broth. Can’t recommend this place enough. Servers were also very nice!

Incredibly rude service for absolutely no reason. Was inpatient and irritated at the slightest questions. My order was taken out with absolutely no one behind me, 3 children in the car. Drove all the way home to puna, and she gave me the wrong food. It's not a mix-up because she got partial order correct. Server that rang me up name is Candice (reiko) according to the ticket.

We have visited this restaurant many times. The food is immaculate. Absolutely amazing flavor. We have also been very happy with the service and atmosphere. While we don't live in Hawaii, visiting this restaurant is a high priority when we are there. We highly recommend!!!

Some local folks recommended Tetsumen for Ramen and indeed their Ramen was very good. The noodles were firm and the broth was the right amount of saltiness almost to perfection. However their Yakitori was a little undercooked. It was tender and juicy, but there were a couple pieces with strong raw chicken taste. So next time only go for the Ramen.

I ordered Assorted Nigiri, the first thing on their standalone sushi menu. The staff brought a plate of Sashimi and said they don't have nigiri. Fine, but why don't you say that in the first place? The sashimi was awful but the lady checking in was very kind. She offered to refund half of the item's price since I already consumed part of it. Well, I never wanted the refund so I just walked away hoping not to throw up tomorrow and whoever ordered it next, lucky you!
Ramen spots are often a hit or miss and I always look for a place that does broth the right way. This place is one of them. Very fast and friendly service. Great portions and absolutely delicious ramen. Ofcourse, a welcoming and friendly staff always make the meal go down easier too. Definitely recommend!

We love this place. The food is always good and the service is great too. Kimi and Daniel are our favorite waitress/waiters, but you can't go wrong.
We have some food issues and out of a lot of restaurants in the area, we have no negative reactions which is huge! My husband is on a low sodium diet for blood pressure and some other things.. and we found the plenty veggie miso/tonkotsu ramen doesn't bother him. We just try not to eat it too close to bed time. For us being able to enjoy ramen together is awesome.
Anyway, we've been here several times and I'm so grateful to have them in the neighborhood.
