Hands down best meal on the Big Island. From the sushi, to the blackened ahi salad with the in house oriental dressing to the bread pudding, everything was outstanding. I will come back to Hawaii for this food.

Had such a disappointing night out for a special dinner, much anticipated. Both my dining companion and I ordered seafood dishes that were awful! Hers were tasteless scallops wrapped in equally tasteless bacon and mine was over-cooked, so dry fish that tasted un fresh also. We were not nicely treated after sending both dishes back to the kitchen and it took almost a half hour to get replacement dishes, a simple Teriyaki chicken dinner, plate lunch style. I bolted mine and my friend just took hers to go so we could make our show.
The place seems to have really slipped and they do not care. I will not be back.

We gathered here for family dinner and conversation before we left the next day to return to our transplant home in the mainland. The Seaside Restaurant has been a family favorite for many years for special occasions. The food is delicious, flavorful and served with a smile. We enjoyed multiple appetizers and dessert along with our main dinner meal. No complaints from any of the family members. The 3 course dinner menu option is long gone, but we will always return when we are in town.
