Unfortunately this was my first time going here and I will not be returning because of the hour and twenty five minute wait for our food. Mind you it was only three entrees. We watched people walk in after us get their food first. The food was a little underwhelming for the price. Oysters smelled off.

Very nice view of the water. Our waitress Sam was very good, making sure that we were taking care of and explained the menu items very well. The Ono and scallops are outstanding. The wasabi cream sauce was unlike any other I’ve ever tasted. Save room for dessert, and or after dinner drink because they are top-notch. Thank

Friendly local small family restaurant. You sit in a beautiful restaurant with a view of the fish farming ponds, which gives the place a lot of character and charm. The sunset view over the water was amazing! The service staff was friendly and helpful. We had the soup of the day, oysters and snails as starters. Everything was very, very tasty. In the main course we had the salmon and the scallops. Here you can choose whether you want the main courses with rice, pasta or mashed potatoes. We chose 2x garlic linguini. For dessert there was the nut brownie and one affogato. The prices were neither cheap nor high, so our bill was reasonableThe fresh ingredients, good chefs and great service made this a special place.

I’m visiting from New York and went here based on rave reviews of hotel staff. Our experience was not up to expectations. My husband ordered clam chowder and the potato’s were hard / uncooked and the clams were rubbery. It tasted like canned clams vs fresh. I wanted chicken, but they were out of it. I asked for either the scallops or the salmon plain and learned everything here is pre prepped so there’s no flexibility. Not a smart marketing move to not even have a plain salmon left unprepared. My husband had the Ono and liked it better elsewhere. It was slightly overcooked yet a generous serving. As we were finishing up at 8 pm it seemed as though the staff was ready to close for the evening as we suddenly had 2 wait staff working on our bill. The restaurant quickly emptied. Not a place I’d recommend.

This popular local restaurant is worth considering for dinner, but ensure they have an available table or make a reservation in advance. Despite high expectations from reviews, our dining experience wasn't particularly special. Waiting over 50 minutes for our sushi roll and a mix-up in cooking the fish extended our wait time to over an hour. The Spicy Ahi Bombs were flavorful, the Seaside Roll was okay but had a specific taste we didn't favor, and the Fresh Catch of the day (Ono with linguine) was well-cooked but lacked a distinctive flair.

Hidden gem with flavors that cater to the locals. One of a kind ambiance overlooking a historic freshwater farm, plus natural water features in the parking lot housing gorgeous koi. Servers are native Hawaiian or local, providing true aloha hospitality and pono nature of our Hawaiian people and culture. Our favorite date night restaurant!Parking: Limited spots. Maybe 25-30 stallsKid-friendliness: High-chair, kid-friendly menu, spacious enough for stroller.
