Wow! I found Pasteles or pastel en hoja as we call it back in the Dominican Republic. My favorite food in the world. What a great surprise. Didn't know why they're be here but read up on the history. Many Puerto Ricans came to work to plantations back in the 1900s. Their culture can with them. Anyways, the pasteles at Vernas we're pretty good. Def returning for more! Thank you!!!!
Hou My People???? dis place get dah mean kine grindz that make you go , " a shet, its ovah when you see dah Katsu Chicken Plate Bok Bahhaaaaaok!!!??? I recommend this place to all my people on dah Big Island of Hawaii?and Mainlanders???????Maikai'i Aunties that Malama? here serving all dayzz??
I absolutely love this place. I stayed in Hilo for a few days and ate here each day of my visit. Their mushroom swiss burger is SO GOOD! Not only are they cheap, but they're delicious too. I honestly can't say enough great things about this place.
