Come here to avoid the sugary touristy junk and get a nice black pour over instead. This coffee was very very good and had a unique lovely taste to it. Support these businesses so the sugary ones don't overtake the island!

This is the first place in my life where I saw the whole beans before the entire grinding and coffee making process. When I drank the coffee, I felt I was still drinking a part of the beans. Everything was made with utmost care. The atmosphere here was amazing.

Cute little place with amazing coffee. Walking around Hilo and wanted a delicious cup of coffee. Love the freshly roasted Kona coffee as a pour over. Loved it so much I want the beans!! It's a cute space shared with 3 businesses but at least had a nice couch to enjoy my awesome cup of Kona.

Best place to have a nice meeting in the morning, get some coffee, and start your day. I often meet my clients here for the atmosphere, friendly staff, and great location. Highly recommend. It's also a much better option than Starbucks if you care about buying local!

Wasn’t sure where to get coffee In Hilo because there are so many options. Decided to try this place and was pleasantly surprised at how good the americano was! Be aware that they do not serve dairy here so if you want creamer, you’ll be out of luck. However, they do offer a wide variety of plant milks to use as an alternative.

Loving the selection of all local coffees at this sweet, low-key coffee shop. The baristas are always knowledgeable and friendly. I usually get pour-overs, and they're delicious, but opted for a latte today. At first, I was a little bummed that they only offered non-dairy milk options but tried the macnut milk for my latte and I have to say it's one of the best lattes I've ever had! This is my new go-to coffee spot in Hilo Town.

The most amazing coffee shop with not only the best coffee, grown at the local Waipuna farm, just a few miles away from Hilo, but also a unique history, friendly personnel and a very nice owner, who's personality was mentioned in almost every review on Yelp. I found this place through Yelp! And this is what this platform exists for! Walking into the place I just wanted to to have some good coffee and then go explore local waterfalls. But instead of that I stayed there for a few hours, just enjoying conversation, trying different kinds of coffee and watching other customers enjoying the same thing. The interior is very classy and the place has its own unique personality. It's definitely THE place to go for good coffee in Hilo. And probably the only place that serves good espresso. Although don't be surprised, all milk used for drinks is PLANT BASED. I was offered organic coconut, hemp, oat, almond and other kinds of milk. Coconut with hemp worked great for my latte. I also strongly recommend to try the pour over coffee (in a coffee pot), as it was my favorite. Altogether it's a must go place in Hilo. And if you're lucky to be there on a day when the owner, Matias is present, feel free to ask him about his coffee production. As the man grows it all at his own farm, he's very passionate about his work and you might find out a lot of cool things about coffee that you didn't know. You might as well get some good tips about places to visit while you're at the island. Five stars, no doubt!
