The snow crab was dry and without any taste. The crab was either old or over steamed. The other main dishes and salads were very tasty. The wait help did a very good job clearing used plates and attentive of our needs.

I was in Hilo for 1 day on Saturday night and chose to stay at the Hilo Hawaiian since it had the only steak house in town, hoping for a nice steak dinner but unfortunately the only option was a buffet with prime rib. It didn't satisfy my craving for a steak and I wish that you had the option to choose buffet or order from menu. The restaurant was pretty busy with local families, servers were awesome and nice, and the food was good, especially liked the sundae bar.

Entertainment was less than enjoyable... sounded more like noise than music/singing. Acoustics were not good. Food/restaurant very basic

The restaurant is undergoing construction in the center of the dining room. The result is loud noise and tables that are much closer together than normal. Hopefully this is completed before the holidays.

First of all, the restaurant is under going renovations so the atmosphere is quite poor. Secondly, the music coming from the bar was so loud that even though we requested the table in the back near the kitchen, it was still too loud. What happened to the gentle guitar entertainment that they had before covid shut it down? The snow crab legs were all over cooked with brown shells and shrunken meat if there was any meat at all. Some legs were so soft that you could bend and twist them and they wouldn't crack at all. Every batch was this way, and we were there for two hours. The meat was stuck in the crab pinchers and had to be dug out. Only three leg pieces came out whole. And we mainly came for the crab! The service was good, with staff changing out plates, filling up drinks etc without being asked. They were courteous and friendly.

WSW is currently renovating so thereʻs limited seating. With that said, I made reservations for the Friday night buffet dinner a week in advance. Upon arriving we were seated right away and got started on some serious grinds!!! The service is so efficient and friendly!! They are constantly collecting used plates and refilling our beverages. The food is delicious! Our favs were the fresh poke - both the spicy and shoyu, the tako poke, poi, lomi salmon, lau lau, squid luau, mahi mahi, and of course the crab and prime rib!!! There was live music next door that was wafting into the restaurant (maybe that could have been turned down so we could hear our conversations better). The desserts were ok but we were actually very full with all the option at dinner! My grandson made his own soft serve ice cream with sprinkles!!! It was a beautiful view and well worth the $59 per person!! My son loved his birthday celebration at WSW! We will return again! Mahalo for all of your hard work!

Venue was under renovation. Most of the restaurant was closed. Food wasn't the greatest but good for the price. Service was excellent.

We went for breakfast wanting to try the oxtail soup. But it was already sold out. So disappointing because it wasn't busy. However, I must say that the breakfast menu was very affordable and of good quality. Hopefully they will have the soup the next time.

Celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday here thinking it would be great. The food was good but steamed crabs were cold everything else was great. The service on the other hand was something else. We got our drinks and that’s about it. We had empty plates with crab shells covering almost the whole table. Server came to ask us once if we needed anything and I didn’t even get the condiments I asked for. Kinda disappointing since we’ve had other great servers in the past. We didn’t even stay long enough to get the special desserts that they usually bring out. Service was so disappointing I had to right a review about it.
