This place was really nice but they sold me a product they knew they did not have. I ordered the Nutella & Strawberry but they did not have Strawberries. I know they did not have Strawberries because one employee said something to the person ringing me up but the employee said they have it.

Later they came back and said they don't have strawberries and told me they will bring it with bananas. I informed them i don't like bananas and asked if they have some other fruit. They told me no and said they will bring out the Nutella and Bananas.

Excellent food and service. Worth the drive off the beaten path. The garden seating area was really nice to eat in. The decor and the decorations and the chairs in the chandeliers were all really fun. The food was a little expensive but most of Hawaii is expensive anyway.

Parking: There's parking in the back. Just follow the signs. There's also parking on the side next to some of the other businesses.

A faded rose from its former glory. It used to be farm-to-table fine dining with local sources for meat and produce. After COVID and a change in ownership, it's now more Costco-to-table bistro and pub grub.

Stunning ambience, super friendly servers/ bartender. Delicious food. I wish every meal we had on our trip was of this caliber.

While visiting a dear friend in Waimea for two weeks, we took a drive to Kona, then up the hill to Holualoa. She hadn't been in 30 years. We stumbled upon this gem of a bistro and enjoyed an F.D.E. for the history books. The entrance and curb appeal make it inviting. It's is entirely outside dining, but under a beautiful open canopy with perfectly manicured gardens surrounding anywhere you sit. The large wicker chairs at a two-top table, with decorative pillows, made it so cozy. The chandeliers are really something to enjoy!! It was 12:30 on a Thursday and not busy... at least not yet. It got busier as we left @ 2pm. Everything was pristine and clean. Bathrooms had darling attention to detail. The food was super unique and very delicious. I ordered the waffles & chicken, with a side of scrambled egg with feta cheese crumbles. My friend got the pork quesadillas, and raved how fully stuffed and delicious they were.
Posting the food & cocktails menus, plus a few other images.
Add this beautiful tropical hide-a-way to your dining while you visit the big Island.

Lovely respite from all the hustle and bustle below. Situated in the cool , tropical rainforest that encompasses Holualoa is a gem of a restaurant. Excellent poke with seaweed salad as a to-share appetizer and then followed by the fresh catch. Simple well prepared , letting the locally sourced ingredients speak for themselves. Charming service, friendly bartender and live music round out a great evening.

Dined in for lunch with my gorgeous model date and had an amazing time! Food was great! The covered outdoor seating was sublime, surrounded by tropical plants and the cool Kona breeze! Our server, Christian, was super friendly and accommodating, helped us with all questions, was great about options for substitutions in the cocktails, and just brought a great vibe to our afternoon. My stunning date ordered the fish tacos and I ordered the Local steak and eggs, both great, and I was able to order a side Ceasars salad instead of the full option. The little anchovy fillet on top was cherry👌. I can't wait to bring the goddess in human form I have the pleasure of taking on fun dates like this back! Would recommend!

The most disappointing restaurant we visited on the island. The table we had requested (in person, earlier in the day) was not held for us - without explanation or apology. Our main courses was served less than TWO minutes after our appetizers were delivered! When we commented the waitress and host both, unconcerned, said "it was ready." All our dishes (there were 4 of us), were poorly prepared and unappetizing. Horrible service and very disappointing food!

A super beautiful secret garden feeling of a restaurant. We came here twice and Dai was our server each time, she remembered us and was just amazing, kind and helpful with our menu questions. Everything we ate, and our beverages were all delicious. Can't be beat! Thanks again!
