if you could only get one coffee on the island i would go here. especially if you are a black sesame lover. the miso black sesame was maybe my favorite coffee i’ve ever ordered anywhere. soooo yummy :,) wish i lived here so i could be a regular. the guys in the truck were so kind too :)

The Black sesame miso latte is quite good. I don’t have a ton of experience to compare it to personally, as I am a black - specialty (third wave if you will) coffee drinker.

But they specialize in espresso based lattes, so when in Ro - Hawaii, try what they seem to do

Honestly I rarely like the random drinks I try, but this latte was great imo. Not too sweet, no weird flavors that don’t meld or anything like that. It’s mellow, smooth and flows well. No bitterness or bad after mouth taste or feel either.

My wife always gets hot chocolate - everywhere in the world we go - despite it being 75 and sunny when here that was still her order.
She decided to try it with a little local touch add-on of brown butter miso.
She’s a really tough grader, and she loved it - 9/10.

They were super busy - no sorry, we’ll be right with you or anything of the sort while we stood there and waited for probably 7+ mins.
And we didn’t care whatsoever, but if you’re one of those ppl that do, you might wait til it’s not slammed outside - it’s quite easy to tell.

Personally, I cared that they made the drinks well despite all the orders. And they did - so we got our drinks and left.
Nbd for us.

If you want a hangout, again, probably don’t stop if it looks full.

Parking is also relatively limited on the street, it’s a small area and they share a parking lot with other businesses there.

I recommend and will likely be back to try the other unique lattes they’re whipping up

This was the best shaken espresso I think I’ve ever had. The barista was so kind and welcoming, the porch was cute and aesthetic. All around top experience

Best Mocha I’ve EVER had ANYWHERE in the world in my ENTIRE life. This epicurean delight was amazingly well balanced, robust and silky smooth. Artfully prepared. After finishing, I came back for 2nd one!

Heard a lot about this place but unfortunately it was closed the week we went. An updated google post of the closing would have saved us the 45 min round trip. :(

White Nene Coffee Roasters is one of those places that quietly does things the right way. Mark genuinely cares about the coffee, the process, and the people who drink it. If you’re in Kona and care about good coffee without the hype, this is a spot worth supporting.

Coffee is good. Some Interesting and unique flavors we had a ginger based latte perfectly balanced with real ingredients. Brown sugar miso was the more interesting of the two. Space was limited as it was busy when we arrived.

Excellent coffee and a great atmosphere! The baristas are very, very, very good friendly, skilled, and clearly passionate!
