It’s always a delight to go to a cafe that puts forth great effort to please! We had the Reuben sandwich and the Pumpkin Curry Rice Special. Both meals were very tasty! Fresh ingredients and inviting presentation. The owner was delightful and we could tell she took great pride in her cafe. Also appreciated the literature about Covid that presented information in a non-confrontational, caring manner.

Pumpkin curry was nice. However, 1 star are for their stance on COVID and vaccination. It's an insult to people who have died of COVID and to their family members. After I have ordered the food and paid for my order, I realized none of the staff members wore masks. The outside window is full of misinformation about Covid, vaccines and masking. Too bad, if I had noticed it earlier, I would have walked away without ordering. There are other local businesses that care about the health of their community and visitors and follow strict COVID protocols.

We ordered a sandwich for take out and walked away without it. 1) We waited for 20 minutes. In that time, only one customer got their order. Our sandwich was still not ready. 2) While we were waiting, we noticed that that no one working inside is masked, nor - you can reasonably assume - vaccinated. The windows and entrance are covered with misinformation about COVID-19, masks, vaccines, and so much more. The business sarcastically announces that they will not ask customers for your health status. That is really beside the point. It is not the customers who are preparing the food. The unwanted serving of misinformation and denial is all quite sad, and frankly unnecessarily insulting to those who are trying to protect others, have died of COVID, or have lost someone to it.

I am not a vegetarian, so I wasn't sure what to expect when my friend and tour guide ordered for all 12 of us. Because the order took awhile to make we waited in our van and they brought us out complimentary kombucha. It was great and the food that followed was fantastic. I wouldn't have guessed my Reuben was vegan if I hadn't already known. Definitely recommend!

Overpriced and poor quality :( on top of that, the folks working in this shop are anti maskers / anti-Vaxers. There were anti-vaccine pamphlets on the wall and the individuals preparing our food and drinks were not wearing masks. We were so tired from our hike that we didn’t realize any of this until after we’d ordered otherwise I would not have ordered from here. The food (literally salads and a “poi bowl” that was just greens and very bland poi with a flower on top) took nearly 20 mins to prepare. The drinks were watery. Would not recommend stopping here.

Best vegan on the island imo. Family run and the owner is super friendly. The rueben is my favorite with the cheese melt is a close second. Delicious!

This cafe was recommended to us by one of the ATV tour guides at Waipi'o on Horseback Ranch. Due to covid, we couldn't dine in - we looked at the menu outside, and then rang a buzzer when we were ready to order. We poked around the little town of Honoka'a for about 20 minutes until our food was ready. We ate outside on the pleasant little tables the restaurant provided. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband had the falafel wrap, I had a fantastic beet/carrot/ginger soup, and our kids had vegan Reubens. We also ordered smoothies, which were served ice-cold in Mason jars with metal straws. The food and smoothies hit the mark, and the service was gracious and friendly. I took one star off because of the signage and literature prominently displayed in the window, which was rabidly anti-vax and anti-mask. All four of us work in health care, and we have seen our communities hit hard by covid. If we had seen all this before ordering, we might have walked away. I know people's opinions are sincerely held, but it seemed confrontational and unnecessary. Even if I had agreed with it, I would have found it odd, especially since Hawai'i is still being pretty strict with covid precautions and encouraging people to get vaccinated. It was a sour note in an otherwise pleasant experience.

food was sorta gross. ridiculously overpriced for what you actually get. this is coming from a lifelong vegetarian too.plus, the place is run by anti-vaxxers which isn’t exactly a strong selling point.

I have never been here. But I do have a neighbor who in the tradition of any good pusher has been giving me different Gelato treats from the Sea Dandelion. So I guess I am now hooked. Unsure if it was the chocolate with nuts, or the Meyer Lemon with candied ginger. If I was to bet this had dairy (it doesn't), I would lose. These are perfect treats that are so dense with flavor, they might be made on a planet with a stronger gravity force to get them so concentrated.So thank you neighbor, and thank you Sea Dandelion for a true treat.

All options here are plant based. The food is delicious and good value. The smoothie I had was tasty and unique (first time I had ginger in a smoothie and liked it). The ice cream was too good to be true, creamy and sweet.Definitely worth stopping by here for a meal

Would have been 6 if we could have eaten inside ?But their food is amazing! We just stumbled spun it when driving through and needed lunch. The best food we’ve had here on the big island so far ? My meat loving husband had their beyond burger and absolutely loved it. I had the bbq blt pocket and also loved it. Highly recommend stopping here if you love healthy, but good food ??
