Tex Drive-in is a classic on Hawaii Island!
The famous malasadas are very filling and delicious as rumored. Even if you are not good at English, the staff are very kind and you will have no problem. Food other than malasadas is also very delicious and recommended for lunch ^_^
The restrooms are clean and it's a perfect place to take a break.

I love stopping at Tex Drive-In on my way from Hilo to Kona. The burgers are excellent, big and juicy on a delicious sweet bread bun. Gotta get some hot maladas to go ?. And the service is always full of aloha. A local experience you don't wanna miss!

Parking: Lots of parking right near the entrance. Also there's a little garden opposite the restaurant, on the back side of the parking lot.

It's a very old building and when I drove into the parking lot, my wife didn't even realize this was it. So not a great immigration but we tried it anyway because it's famous.

They do have a drive-thru, but they also let you order inside at the counter and have an indoor/outdoor eating area.

I noticed the two types of patrons were either really old folks, or clearly locals. Interesting.
