One word to describe our experience with food from Cafe 1132 which is terrible! Not impressed after eating majority of food catered to us. Would never recommend this place for catering unless we have no choice. This place has catered for us due to contract with our school. Nobody in our cohort overall liked any of the food catered from Cafe 1132. The food made us miserable for the first full two months of school. Some were disgusted of what it tasted like, what it looked like, and what it smelled like. One of our classmates felt terrible and ran out of middle of a class lecture because of something he ate from here? The salmon didn't even taste or look like salmon. Meat loaf, I called it mystery meat loaf. Who adds peas to spaghetti, beef stew, and inside of meat loafs? Who even adds raisins to curry and fried rice? The mash potatoes looked it was made fresh (props) and not from package but it really lacked salt/seasoning. Most food lack salt/seasoning (I understand it might be for health reasons). Some didn't like food at all that there were many food leftover after class and/or opted to drive out to take out food from like McDonald's than eating the food catered from here. The side dishes were sometimes better (not mash potatoes) than the main dish which is bad. Dull and sad looking food. Lacks heart, amateurish, and cooks may need some cooking lessons. The only safe bet from here are the cold cut sandwiches, Teri beef, chicken Katsu (very small portions) and certain breakfast items (as long as they are fresh). Breakfast items like the Croissants was probably bought from Sam's Club (Croissants) or Blueberry muffin had to be from Costco. But they were at least edible. So glad the contract is over soon after many complaints to our school program person. Part of our tuition does pay for our meals and if this is what we gonna eat for the rest of our duration of the semester or the entire program, I'd like some of my money back so I can use it to buy my own breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Not speaking for myself but for others in my class who doesn't have a Yelp account. Spend your hard earned money at another local restaurant with better quality food.

Reliably good, reasonably priced (cold and hot) sandwiches, soups, and salads including leafy greens and pasta salads. Friendly and efficient service, too. The combos are a nice deal - I like getting a soup + salad or soup + sandwich. They also cater my office's meetings quite often; they can cater both breakfast (pastries and breakfast sandwiches, plus coffee) and lunch (mostly sandwiches for us). Some of my coworkers have said some of their catered sandwiches a bit boring after a while, so you may consider specifically requesting the types of sandwiches you prefer.

Good sandwiches at good prices. They do salads too but I haven't tried them. I've used them to cater lunches downtown too and they're really good with delivery and setting everything up for you. They cater breakfast and lunch stuff and you can do boxes or platters.

Great little shop, been around forever, hard to know about from street, tucked away cheap espresso great sandwiches and salad. Friendly folks, can't miss if you want a reliable, non-corporate sandwich.

Very disappointed. For lunch I decided to order the breakfast croissant with egg, ham and bacon. I return to my office only to find out they screwed up my order!! They made it with egg, ham and CHEESE!! So glad I looked at it before digging right in to eat it considering I was very hungry. Luckily, I work nearby and went back and told the female worker what my order was and told her there's CHEESE in it and I didnt order it with that. She did not apologize about their error when she took it from me and told the kitchen staff what was supposed to be in it. It could have been a worse outcome IF I had a food allergy on cheese!! Upon getting my corrected food, she did apologize but it wasnt even sincere and it sounded mumbled like she didn't really want to say it. The kitchen staff NEEDS to pay more attention to the orders they make. What if the customer can't come back to get it corrected since they are their lunch break? They needed to be held accountable for making the orders correctly. Does your staff not realize how much of an inconvenience it is to come back to your establishment to get it corrected when they can't get it right the first time? Just to let you know this is not the first time my order has been screwed up!

I am not sure why I go back...I've never been happy, but this time I was actually unhappy. Got the "special of the week" - the chicken and avocado sandwich. Think they are just trying to get rid of the chicken-flavored styrofoam. So dry, no mayo, no mustard, no cheese, no cup of water to wash it down. I ordered "extra lettuce" and thought that since I was charged extra they would hook it up...nope, only meant an extra large leaf b/c still only 1 leaf. This bread is worse than the stuff you give to lil kids to feed the fish. It was falling apart b/c was so dry...but luckily i had my extra large lettuce! Shining 1-star in the sandwich...the avocado. Next time I'm looking for a quick sandwich, just going to Subway right outside 1132 Bishop. Bumbai I learn.

Great solution for downtown Honolulu catering. One of the few who will deliver to your location. Great selection, both comfort foods and healthier options. I highly recommend the sandwich platters. For individual dining, their breakfast butter croissant sandwiches are easily the best I've found in the downtown area. The only tiny grumble might be their hours are only a little short at 7am to 2:30ish pm. I'd love to pop in for an early breakfast, or be able to grab dinner from this place to take home after work.

I do a lot of training, and for those all day events, we provide lunch to our customers. This place always delivers, even when we're in Waipahu. We use them every time and never once has there been a complaint or issue raised from our trainees about the lunch we provide from 1132 cafe. My favorite is the chicken walnut salad. Although I've never been to the physical location, the delivery person is always kind, sets out an organized the lunches while I keep teaching, and shows professional courtesy. Thanks for making catered lunch hassle free!

2 stars for the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich. -3 for the bad customer service. They're very slow. I waited for them to take my order longer than it took them to make my sandwich. Why? Because the 2 ladies in the front was talking story with the customer in front of me as if they couldn't see people waiting. RUDE. Mind you this is the business district and people got places to be. They could be great if they improve their customer service and cleanliness of the store front.

Always a good sandwich and great catering services for office lunches

I used to LOVE this place when I worked in Downtown but when I went there this morning, they couldn't make what I asked for (croissant w/ spinach & egg). Also, I asked for soy milk instead of regular milk for the cuppacino(?spelling); I don't think I was given soy milk cuz my stomach is upset now (hence, the need for "milk" replacement, as my tummy doesn't do well w/ dairy). The server (tho nice & polite)didn't seem to know what I was asking---neither the server nor barista seemed to care about "customer service"...What happened to the nice Asian lady who used to help me??? She anticipated what customers wanted & did great "suggestive selling"...making people WANT to buy more & give generous tips...I gave a decent tip, even tho the server & barista didn't seem to care or notice!😔

I was in the downtown area trying to get my driver's license renewal but denied (no walk ins today :( even though they didn't seem that busy). I was on my way back to Walmart to buy my $20+ worth of merchandise to qualify for free parking when I just happened to pass by 1132 Cafe's pop up kiosk on Fort Street Mall. Boy was I in for a tasty treat. I gravitate toward healthy food so I couldn't resist buying a sandwich, pasta and salad. The prices are very reasonable and the service fast and friendly. The chicken walnut sandwich on whole wheat bread was absolutely delicious. I wish I bought chips to eat it with. The ham & feta cheese pasta was perfectly seasoned, fresh and among the best I've had. The papaya & avocado salad was ok. I wish they used healthier lettuce and better tasting dressing. The portions were plentiful and very fresh. I'll definitely buy from them again when I'm in the area.
