- I used to like this restaurant. They added a cigar menu and allowed cigar and cigarette smoking at outdoor tables. But the restaurant door remains open during business hours. So we could smell the cigar and cigarette smoke all the way in the back of the restaurant where we were seated. After we finished the meal, my clothes also smelled like cigarette smoke. This is like a restaurant with a smoking and a non-smoking sections, but the non-smoking session can still smell all the smoke. For this reason, I don't think the restaurant is for non-smokers or folks who don't like to smell the cigarette smoke while they are dining. + Food is good. Asian fusion. + Service is attentive. + Ambience is good. Trendy with a lounge feel. + Prices are comparable to other similar modern restaurants. Our bill for dinner came to $90 per person including tips. Our order included one alcoholic drink only, 2 non-alcoholic drinks, 7 dishes to share family style, and 1 chocolate fireball dessert to share, for a party of 4 adults.

Don’t go here if you are vegetarian or vegan. They can’t accommodate any requests like vegetarian oyster sauce pr dressing without fish sauce
The service was terrible. The appetizers came one at a time and same with the main course. No attempt was made to clean up the table between appetizer and main course. They didn’t have plates so that we could share the food only small bowls which totally didn’t work The worst was that they just left the entire mess of the appetizer and main course and drinks on the table and brought out 1 dessert at a time without clearing the table Willis was disgusting and a mess. We had to clean it ourself and ask them to first clear the whole entire table before we would move to dessert. There was no attempt at service u less we asked for something and different people came out every time to ask for things

They over charged me by $4,000 on my credit card and the manager Chayna kept saying she would ensure I get refunded and it’s already been over 2 months now, communication has not been the best no updates I am consistently having to follow up with them just for a simple refund. Would not recommend unless you want to get scammed. Terrible customer service and very disorganized.

Impeccable atmosphere, great service, delicious food and cocktails
This spot is perfect for food drinks and vibes. The inside is immaculate with perfect decor. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The drinks are refreshing. The food is tasty, doesn’t have an overwhelming menu. I’ve tried multiple items and everything has been delicious. Also, surprisingly not expensive for Hawaii. MUST try. Definitely coming back.

So I really wanted to make things right before leaving a review as Iam a business owner myself. But the amount of time I called and with no response left me no choice. My party was the very last to leave the restaurant, and we accidentally left a gifts behind on our table. When we called the very next day, the staff claimed nothing was found. That’s hard to believe considering no one sat there after us. We asked to speak with a manager, but our call was completely ignored and never returned. This shows a total lack of honesty and integrity from the staff, and zero accountability from management. We left not only disappointed, but with the feeling that our trust was completely violated.

I’m a little disappointed writing this review as we usually enjoy coming here. 2 weeks ago we went there to celebrate my sister’s birthday with a party of 14. I booked the party and they had my number. We left at closing and was the last to leave. When my sister got home she realized she had left her gifts on the chair. She called the next day and they stated they never had it. She asked to speak to a manager and was told they would call back. No call back. She called a total of 4x and same thing. Last we were told they were going to review the cameras and call back the next day. It’s been 3 days so now we are forced to leave this review. They tried saying it could have been a customer but again we stayed until closing and were the last to leave the restaurant. This whole experience really left us disappointed in their lack of honesty and follow up. When this is handled I will update this review.

1938 Indochine service is unmatched. Everyone feels like family! Chef Mark is da bomb! The Indochine team to care of my husband’s retirement dinner. Excellent event because of everyone’s attention to detail.
