If you get a regular lunch portion, they give two scoops rice, so think it through. The musubi feels jumbo.

Prices at Kapiolani Community College are great. Full meal for under $11. Check the website for hours and dates of operation, as they are determined by class schedule. 220 grille is currently closed as they are renovating the building.

This is most under known and under found place too eat. It is run by the culanary arts department of Kapiolani community college. The students are being trained to be chefs and restaurant owners. Needless to say the food is outstanding and service great. They have sustainable food and different items for special request dietary requests. They also have a night time three course dinner. Look at their website for what is being served. The prices for dinner at fine ding price but there is a reason. It is that good

I generally attend once every week they are open during the semester and I have been doing that for several semesters. I have never been served anything that I would ever consider describing as "cafeteria food"! There have been glitches that I attribute to young people learning food preparation, presentation, and customer service but I don't think you can find food as deliciously well-prepared for the price anywhere else in Honolulu. Plus, one gets to support young people preparing for work in food services. Enjoying food this good while allowing program participants to hone their skills in culinary/restaurant practices is one of those rare activities that benefits everyone involved.

Maybe it is too much to expect, but I do not want cafeteria food at a culinary school restaurant. I will try again because they look like they are trying. Maybe it was a bad day.

The 220 Grille burger is always a winner if you can't decide over one of the many delicious entrees on the menu.
