Got fried chicken and was pretty terrible. Tasted old, overcooked, the breading taste also burnt. And one piece of chicken was so overcooked some of the meat was black. Had to just throw it out. Total waste of money and now have to replace with something else. Not ok!

Here's a run down as of 12.15.2023; Daily Special - Combination Plate - Mochiko Chicken & Chicken Katsu: Another name for mochiko chicken is Hawaii's popcorn chicken. You can remember this nostalgic taste-of-home chicken from school lunches as well as a popular plate lunch main for many other local restaurants. The marinade for this chicken was a little bit on the sweeter side for the mochiko chicken, but having cut into smaller piece allowed more of the juiciness to soak in, allowing that sweet and savory flavor to please your tastebuds. The panko crusting on the chicken Katsu was soo crispy. My cat was obsessed! They gave some Katsu sauce on the side which was very generous (Some places put it on top so your Katsu becomes all soggy). Everything was easily chewable but the Katsu is on the thinner side if you're expecting a big cutlet. Still very delicious paired with the rice and Mac salad. Ordered Lemon chicken and got these dry extra crunchy popcorn chicken looking thing. Not a decent piece of chicken in the whole thing! Only could taste hard crunchy batter. I think the cook or owner needs to try eating their own food to see if it's edible. An elder person with dentures need to stay away from this!

Friendly and lots of food choices. Friendly atmosphere and have tables for you to dine in or take out. I love their steak and garlic shrimp plate. Their fried chicken is also good. Parking is free and friendly service. Go give it a try.

Ordered the NY Steak and Garlic Shrimp. Steak is Hard. The black line on the shrimp is not cleaned out. Shrimp tasted spoiled. The oil taste terrible. It’s smells and taste like old oil has been used for long time.

99 local mix plate on King St. Is a small restaurant with a good size menu. Local food mini and regular size plate lunches, sandwiches, breakfast, seafood and even some vegan dishes. Reasonable prices and delicious . Ordered the mini Teri pork and curry plate which for a mini came with 1 scoop rice and 1 scoop mac salad for 10.99....not bad!
