Dont like this branch. Usually out of things, sodas, things on the menu, etc..also, saw a girl drop spoons on the ground and put them right back onto a clean stack..grossed me out.

2/19/19, server was keen tonight. Always made sure we had water. One thing about the ramen is the higher spice level you go up the less flavorful it gets.

This location sucks AF! Very disappointed when my party of 6 plus a toddler waited for 15 mins to be served with at least water. Two waitresses were so busy with other customers & never stop at our table to say a single word. The two girls should get fired because this job isn't for you. Will be calling manager tomorrow & make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. I would've expected excellent customer service since it's at Ala Moana Shopping Center. The two girls were even happier that we walked out. Never coming here again.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! The 2 waitresses that worked on FEBRUARY 9,2019 night shift needs to get FIREDDDDD! They didn't acknowledge us at all, they actually gave the table next to us water before us and they sat 15-20 minutes AFTER us. We didn't even get any menus (that she just tossed on our table) till the table next to us got there waters and menus! We literally felt so sick of there attitude and worse service, my family and I walked out. I'll be sure to call there manager tomorrow since there lines where sooo busy. Here's the kicker... when my family and I where leaving, the 2 waitresses where SMILING! Never felt sooo be littled by a company ! Yes... they were SMILING because we decided to walk out!! Worse service ever!!! SERVICE SUCKS! SERVICE SUCKS ! SERVICE SUCKS!!

I would totally rate this place 0 stars if it was an option. Service is terrible. We went when it wasn't even busy. The worker was at the front and didn't even acknowledge us for a few minutes even though we were right in front of her face. After we were seated, they took over 10 minutes to take our order or even bring us water. I contemplated leaving. But of course they come the moment I was going to get up. The food took 15-20 minutes and it wasn't even that hot when it arrived. They don't have alcohol either. I had to walk to the front to get our bill. Horrible service. Never coming back. For the prices of Agu, I expect better service than this.

I've always been a fan of Agu's ramen, and when I heard that a new branch opened up at Ala Moana, I was eager to try the food at this location. After reading all of the previous reviews, I understand why so many people had negative opinions about this place. I came with just my mother, so waiting for a table for 2 on a Sunday night was not long. However, waiting to take our order took a little while, and waiting for our food to to be made took even longer. Glimpsing around the restaurant while waiting for our food to arrive, I noticed that the restaurant seemed a bit understaffed. From where I sat, I was only able to count 4 employees running the whole show: a hostess/waitress, another waiter, one chef, and one dishwasher. This was probably why service seemed too slow, where customers were hurriedly led to their tables and their bills briskly taken care of while those who ordered had to wait probably a good half an hour for their food to arrive. Having not been at Agu for at least a year, I still enjoyed the kotteri ramen with cheese (my usual order), even though the serving size seemed to have shrunk. My mother ordered the shio ramen, which the broth had a pleasant light flavor. The aji tamago (soft boiled egg) is still the best I've ever had to this day. Overall, the quality of the food at Agu did not seem to have changed compared to the Ward Center location. However, quality of service can be a gamble, depending on the time you come in to dine at the restaurant. If customer service is something you highly value when it comes to dining in, I recommend taking your chances at the Ward location instead. Or if you don't mind and solely value quality of the food, then either location would be fine.

If I could give this place negative stars I would! This place is by far the worst and if you know me, I'm very particular of my ramen only because lots of broth gives me a date with the toilet or I get really sick. Anyway, on a whim... my friend wanted to come here and Ward location wasn't bad. When I go Agu usually order the cold noodles so that's ok for my stomach. Let me tell you they ran out of tonkatsu so the other broths were available. My friends order the vegan tan tan and I got cold noodles. Friends said theirs was very bland! My cold noodles had a little spicy kick but that was it, nothing else really came with it. Some small cucumber slices and 4 pc of garlic chips. I couldn't finish my food. My friends finished because they didn't want to waste while I was a bit disgusted and upset... We had to get some booze to wash it down after. Which no alcohol is served here! Service very very slow! We waited a good 10mins before the girl came by to acknowledge us. Took them 15mins to get us water and take the order. Poor girl tho, she was the only one taking all orders so we felt bad for her. The food wasn't her fault but that just means the kitchen workers make nasty food. I will never come back ever! Come at your own risk.

Came here for mid Christmas shopping day lunch. Had the pork cheek croquettes and shio ramen. The pork cheek croquettes were good-the texture took some getting used to...it was like shredded pork mixed with mashed potato. Wasn't a fan of the sauce because it tasted like pure mayonnaise. The shio ramen was good as well. Nothing to scream about, but definitely above average. I appreciated the speedy service. It's definitely on the pricer side in my opinion...or at least pricey for the flavors offered. You also have to pay extra to add any spice, which is a bit of a bummer, but fair in my opinion because you are adding an extra ingredient.

Food is good. Service is slow. They need more help on Saturdays during lunch.

Alway been a fan of agu, but something about this location was disappointing. Showed up as sat to wait to be seated, (place as basically empty) only to find find out that the line of people were all the off duty employees waiting to get their pay checks! After about 5 minutes we were seated. Our server was very friendly and nice. The food was not as delicious as I remember, Very small portions and over priced. The over all environment was cold and not very warn. In the future I will stick to Gome Tei for noodles at alamoana

Some times the service is a little slow. But for the most part you can always get a table without a wait. It's typically a little bigger than typical ramen restaurants. The ambiance is nice and clean with soft lighting. My menu favs are the agedashi tofu and the vegetarian Sapporo ramen. They also have good vegan options too. I recently tried the baked Brussels sprouts, which were sprinkled with panko flakes and fried. It comes with a side of Parmesan cheese dipping sauce. It was good but the tofu is still my favorite.
