We recently made a to-go order. The restaurant was empty at peak dining hours on a weekend. The man working at the counter was hospitable and we ordered 6 a la carte items totaling more than $100. When we got our order, each menu item was in the smallest of to-go boxes, about the size of a fist. Quite small for $20+ per a la carte item. The noodles, with the cheapest ingredients, was the only one in a normal size container. The food was disappointing, bland, and substandard for a local Chinese restaurant. We had to doctor it some at home to make it palatable. It’s no wonder they were empty on a Saturday night. Normally we would call it a loss and not return but we felt they’re blatantly taking advantage of customers so it warranted a warning. Imagine trying to feed a family of 4 thinking 6 main dishes at $20/each would be enough. At any other Chinese restaurant it would be, with leftovers. The positive reviews don’t look recent. Maybe they have different ownership now and are heavily cutting corners to make a profit.

Had the $22 order of minute chicken on cake noodles for dinner tonight and it was not good at all. Hardly any of the green vegetables that most Chinese restaurants put in. It had more cake noodles than small pieces of chicken. Plus eating the cake noodles was like eating dried old rice. Only one thing good was the flavor, everything else for $22 was👎🏽

They advertise a happy hour meal special until 5pm but when I go in at 4:30 they claim it ends at 4. The sign outside the building says 5pm.

Nothing inside has prices, so you will be surprised when you get the bill. Especially given the quality and size of the meal given.

Food was alright, service not amazing, wouldn’t recommend. I don’t usually write these but I had a particularly poor experience here.

The food wasn’t good. They gave me the incorrect order and told me i should just try it anyway. They also gave my order to the wrong table. Even though I was extremely annoyed I was simply willing to pay and leave, until the owner ran outside after me to demand that I tip, which I refused. She said “next time eat your food outside”. It felt extremely prejudice and aggressive. I usually tip but in no way is it expected with bad service and bad food quality. Very entitled, and unprofessional owner. Do not eat here, the food didn’t even come out hot.

I ordered Catering #4 for $68 on Jan. 1 pickup. What I received was not at all what I expected for $68. I small box of mixed char sui and roast pork with 16 rolls. You got the best of me today. NEVER

The food is the average level of honolulu, but the price is far higher than other restaurants. A roast duck rice usually costs about $17 in other places, but it costs $22here.Bitter gourd beef rice even costs $23 it is the most expensive Cantonese restaurant in the island.

I used to take my 5 kids and wife to eat here all the time. Until I found out that they were upcharging me on the bill. Normally I wouldn't mind spending $150-$200 including tip. But for some reason, everytime we came back. The bill got larger and larger while we ordered the something everytime. So after the bill reached $280. I had a feeling something was wrong. I added up all the entrees and even added hawaii state tax. And it came out to $150. I asked for a receipt and they gave me an itemized receipt with no wording just numbers. I asked what the extra $130 was for and they told me gratuity fee.

I don't know anywhere that charges over $100 for gratuity fee for only $150 worth of food.

Anyways. The food is okay but if you don't want to get ripped off. Go to golden city or onon

Do not get scammed by them! They automatically charge you a tip for dine in WITHOUT TELLING YOU. Also, they have pictures of someone else's dishes. That is not what they serve! The food they cook has clear differences in ingredients and quality. Also, I asked for tofu on my fried rice, but what she did was bring pork fried rice and then a whole separate meal of salt and pepper tofu. That's how she got away with charging me for 2 meals instead of the one I wanted. It all tasted bad and I did not finish it.

Not ONLY is this place a complete scam, sneaking in 18% tip and asking for another tip, their food is ridiculously over priced for such garbage. DO NOT GO!!!!!

Came here to get food with family and friends and after looking at menu we decided we wanted to leave. The lady at the front was extremely rude and yelled at us as we were leaving for being greedy and cheap. Probably explains why the restaurant was empty.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could… sadly the lady tried to steal money from me by charging us an 18% tip without my consent, and gave us a separate receipt to leave tip again? She did all of this BEFORE we were served a cup of water or our food? She was very rude when we asked for a refund. If you’d not believe us, please see the pictures of our receipt. Be careful when going here, and check your receipts!

If I could give the location negative stars I would. When I got to the counter and asked if I could dined in she ask how many people I told her it would only be me because my siblings where looking at other locations.Has I placed the order my sister's came in to add her order. The total come to $94 for only 5 plates. So I canceled one of the plates. The total was $73.83 before paying i asked how big are the plates she showed me a dined in plate for sample. Then we paid, once we paid I asked if we could set down she said you have to tip to dined in. So my sister told her canceled the order and give me, my money back. She refused and she that it was being made already, but we had just finish paying 1 minutes ago. She to call 911, then said she was going to call 911 but instead try to call the security. So, I called the security service Chad was is name, he could do anything if she refuses, So I said thank you and hanged up and proceed to call 911. Has he arrived the lady put the food out and set it on the counter. We explained the situation, he spoke to her. Asked what can we do to resolve the problem. I told him that I was willing to has longest she let's me set in dined. She refued, she said we had give tip to dined in. We had second police officer came and try to resolve the problem. She was in sock and told us that they never heard of a restaurant asking for tip just to dined in. For being my first time in Hawaii this has been the worst experience. Even the officer (Kat) said that she was embarrassed of the service we were receiving and that's not the Aloha way. She apologized, she even try to give us money to makeup for the service we received. I slowy closed her hand and told no thank you. That the money didn't matter to us. We were just trying to dined in or get our money back. Kat recommended other locations with better food and services.

Come back again for to Celebrate New Year. This is one of the restaurant you can find during holiday. I never see this place closed. The food and service experience are the best. Will come back in Chinese new year for Jai and Gao.
