Do not get scammed by them! They automatically charge you a tip for dine in WITHOUT TELLING YOU. Also, they have pictures of someone else's dishes. That is not what they serve! The food they cook has clear differences in ingredients and quality. Also, I asked for tofu on my fried rice, but what she did was bring pork fried rice and then a whole separate meal of salt and pepper tofu. That's how she got away with charging me for 2 meals instead of the one I wanted. It all tasted bad and I did not finish it.

Not ONLY is this place a complete scam, sneaking in 18% tip and asking for another tip, their food is ridiculously over priced for such garbage. DO NOT GO!!!!!

Came here to get food with family and friends and after looking at menu we decided we wanted to leave. The lady at the front was extremely rude and yelled at us as we were leaving for being greedy and cheap. Probably explains why the restaurant was empty.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could… sadly the lady tried to steal money from me by charging us an 18% tip without my consent, and gave us a separate receipt to leave tip again? She did all of this BEFORE we were served a cup of water or our food? She was very rude when we asked for a refund. If you’d not believe us, please see the pictures of our receipt. Be careful when going here, and check your receipts!

If I could give the location negative stars I would. When I got to the counter and asked if I could dined in she ask how many people I told her it would only be me because my siblings where looking at other locations.Has I placed the order my sister's came in to add her order. The total come to $94 for only 5 plates. So I canceled one of the plates. The total was $73.83 before paying i asked how big are the plates she showed me a dined in plate for sample. Then we paid, once we paid I asked if we could set down she said you have to tip to dined in. So my sister told her canceled the order and give me, my money back. She refused and she that it was being made already, but we had just finish paying 1 minutes ago. She to call 911, then said she was going to call 911 but instead try to call the security. So, I called the security service Chad was is name, he could do anything if she refuses, So I said thank you and hanged up and proceed to call 911. Has he arrived the lady put the food out and set it on the counter. We explained the situation, he spoke to her. Asked what can we do to resolve the problem. I told him that I was willing to has longest she let's me set in dined. She refued, she said we had give tip to dined in. We had second police officer came and try to resolve the problem. She was in sock and told us that they never heard of a restaurant asking for tip just to dined in. For being my first time in Hawaii this has been the worst experience. Even the officer (Kat) said that she was embarrassed of the service we were receiving and that's not the Aloha way. She apologized, she even try to give us money to makeup for the service we received. I slowy closed her hand and told no thank you. That the money didn't matter to us. We were just trying to dined in or get our money back. Kat recommended other locations with better food and services.

Can you give ZERO stars. The reviews just confirmed what I suspected but what's worse is how they require a TIP to eat at this restaurant! Wowserz not only that they have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will never eat here - RUN RUN AWAY

Come back again for to Celebrate New Year. This is one of the restaurant you can find during holiday. I never see this place closed. The food and service experience are the best. Will come back in Chinese new year for Jai and Gao.

The only reason why I gave them two stars is because the food was decent. The atmosphere hasn't changed since the former owners sold it. Service- the waitress was a pleasant lady and didn't rush us, especially since we arrived at 835, and they close at nine. She even provided a photo menu ( with no prices) along with the regular menu. We had her full attention as my daughter and myself were the only customers She didn't tell us that we probably didn't need to order four entrees for only two people We ordered roast pork, beef chow funn with gravy, three stuffed treasures ( tofu, bitter melon, and eggplant) ground pork with green beans and the free roast chicken (choice of one free entree [roast chicken/deep fried oysters] when you order three dishes Food came pretty quickly Ordered the custard which came out warm and was one of the better Dan tats but I would not order again because one cuatard costs $5 The reasons why I gave a low rating: Our bill did not match the menu prices, which was an average of $2 more, and the menu did not state that the written prices are old ( already paying an average of $20 per entree) When we spoke with the manager, he said he charged correctly and didn't explain further-totally unacceptable customer service and indifferent to our questions. He had charged us 18% gratuity automaticly (FOR two people!) And the bill doesn't list the individual items, just a list of prices from a calculator so you need to figure out which entree has which price Don't forget that they charge $3.00 for one SMALL bowl of rice! Watch out because they charge even more when you order takeout He is totally only there to make money off of customers No empathy no care only charge lots of money-for an over priced menu for mediocre atmosphere and service. Stay away - though the quality of food is like the old owners- this owner gouges you

Lo

Horrible. See attached for photos of menu item I ordered vs the slop I received. It was $27 for a disgusting looking slop. Not at all what the picture showed. The clerk was rude too when I brought it to her attention. This is obvious fraud.

My family has been going here on and off for decades since we live down the street, and unfortunately that ends tonight. The good: food was pretty tasty and served quickly, during the holidays they're offering free oysters/roast chicken/egg rolls of you order three entrees, portions are reasonable, service was great (granted, we were the only customers dining in) We got four entrees: roast pork, string beans with pork, choy sum and beef chow fun, and stuffed three treasures (tofu, eggplant, and bittermelon) plus our free roast chicken! Everything was good and flavorful. The free roast chicken was my personal favorite (maybe since it's free it tasted even better!). The only less than stellar dish was their chow fun. It had good wok hei (seared smoky wok flavor) but could've used a little oyster sauce. The Dan tat were flaky and warmed. Unfortunately, the thing that left a bad taste in my mouth at the end of the night was the check. It was $151 for four entrees, two bowls of rice, and two Dan tat (egg tarts)!!! How is that possible?! First, the prices have changed from the menu which they did not tell us. Every entree was $2-3.50 more than what the menu said, and when I asked about it, he just said the prices changed. I told him he needs to let people know that when we order. Rice was $3 a bowl, the Dan tat was $5 each?!, and then he added an 18% tip for two people! Ok, don't get me wrong, I typically tip 18% anyway, but what I didn't like was that the itemized check is just a like calculator slip with numbers only and no words, and then the check that you actually sign has the grand total (tip included) and it still has lines for you to write a tip! So if you weren't careful, not only do you pay more per dish than you expected, but you could potentially tip twice and you wouldn't know because they don't tell you that upfront. I was out with my dad and I know he would've tipped had I not looked at the bill and questioned the check. The take out prices on Yelp are even worse. $15 for two Dan tat?! $20 for 4 spring rolls? $30 string beans? As much as I enjoyed all the Chinese food and supporting local, for that price I'd rather bring home the bacon.

Food was super expensive for 2 plates. We spent $70! Plus 18% tip required. Food was dry, and didn't seem fresh. Bad experience. During our dining, we could hear customers complaining about the small portions and price.

Poor service, food is mediocre and attitude sucks. The business has changed ownership and everything has gone downhill since then.

BEWARE of what you are being charged! They add 18% tip to total purchase then leave tip section open on card purchases; if unaware, end up paying 33+% in tips alone for mediocre service & food at competitive prices with better restaurants. They laughed when caught charging tip in purchase total and refused to provide a copy of credited card purchase (with the 18% tip added in) when asked to redo card purchase accurately. This was a deliberate act of deception to make more money. Will NOT recommend; will not go back.
