I found Hamachi kama tucked away at the bottom of the menu. It is the collar bone, lots of work to eat, not pretty to look at but packed with flavor. This is what Italians call "cucina povera" the peasant food of the poor people. The set menu came with a small salad, pickled vegetables and udon. Each tiny dish was prepared with care, presented with grace. The dashi for the udon did not cut any corners as is all too common nowadays. It was delicious.
Wow, this place reminds me of eating in Japan. The food is delicious, a small whole in the wall and by dinner time it’s a full house but the food is really delicious. ? The services was excellent as well.

My bf went on a fishing charter (with jigging honolulu, also highly recommend) & the captain recommended this place for cooking his catch!
