I had heard how awesome Alejandro’s was but never made it to the Kalihi location. When my teen daughter was meeting friends for dinner and I was stoked knowing I could finally try it when I seen it on kapahulu. It did not disappoint. Living here for 9 years the only food I really missed from the mainland is good Mexican food. Wish I would’ve found this place sooner! Food was on point. Carne asada tacos had good flavor. Sales verde was flavorful. 5 *. Food was cheap too - had many plates under $12z Also had live music on Saturday night and the dude was just killing it. Great food, great prices, great vibes! The only thing disappointing was the place was only half full! Although I’m thankful I could get a seat, a gem like this place should be filled every night.

Food arrived fairly quickly, about 5-10 mins max. Fountain drinks are served in to-go cups and they have complimentary water in addition to bottled/canned drinks and other drink specialties. Also live music so definitely a plus. Definitely more casual spot after work or to meet up with friends.Parking is behind the restaurant but can fill quickly depending on the crowd. Restrooms were ok and could use routine check ins.For convenience you can order take out along the kapahulu side.

I was excited to go try out the food. I am always looking for good Mexican food. I grew up in Mexico, travel to different states in Mexico and got to try amazing Mexican food. There are great cooks in my family, so I am a bit critical about Mexican food. However, I try not to have my expectations too high when I go eat at Mexican restaurants.I was pretty disappointed about the food, it could use some more flavor. My aunt used to always said that when cooking Mexican food you must cook it with love and pride. The food food could use a little more love.Is not bad food, is just not for me.
No frills, seat-yourself fast food style Mexican with great authentic taste; compare to any AZ,TX or Cali restaurant. Has a bar. The don’t make guac. The do have Mexican Coke and Jarritos. No A/C.

It was hard to tell online but there is seating available inside of the restaurant. Food was good - if you just tolerate onions, be sure to ask for your food without as the slices are really large and not cooked for long. No queso available but the salsa was good!

One of my top go to restaurants for some tasty tacos. Always great customer service in restaurant and at takeout window. Only thing is limited parking you might need to park up street but food is worth the small walk. I love this place.

I’m from Texas so wasn’t expecting much but it’s was alright. Carnitas good, rice and beans need more spice but may just be a Hawaii
We went yesterday 8-31-23 for dinner they sat us down against the wall hubby was facing the stage and I was facing towards the kitchen. It was the first time eating here. We sat for about 10 to 15 minutes as staff was walking by. Nobody told us we had to go and order our food. Food was good didn't realize my burrito had no cheese. But my fault for not checking. Things after that went fine until one of the gals put her hand into the trash can and was pushing the trash down then she went and grab the food the kitchen staff handed to her. That just turned my stomach. After this I couldn't finish my meal. I was going to say something but didn't. Told hubby after we left the restaurant. So not a great first impression. ?

Solid, convenient location. I do enjoy take out pretty often from here. They are good. Prices are competitive with the area. I’ve been let down one time where it was a little salty but I’ve been back plenty since. The take out staff is really nice.

Great Music as we enjoyed our food & drinks. Beef quesadilla was great, tasty tortilla cooked perfect! My husband loved his 3 tacos (Carne asada was his favorite, also had beef and carnitas) Bartender was friendly and prompt, made excellent drinks! All servers very helpful and kind too, we'll be back!!

Just wanna say that this is probably the place I wouldn’t go back again. The food was not even good. I couldn’t even finish the beef quesadilla. The beef smell and the cheese was bad. Tacos shells were bad too, kinda old and steal. Paper plates weren’t what I was expecting from dining in.
