It has been a while since I last ate here, but this place used to be a go to for me back in high school. Their salads were just that good and it never felt like you were eating “healthy” food. We ordered the Ono Island Ahi and the Mandarin Ginger, and flavor wise the salads themselves still hold up. Portions felt fair and the prices were reasonable in my opinion. I also appreciated that it came with two pieces of pita bread.

That said, the service really took away from the experience. When we ordered, the employee took our order but did not really start making the salad. His manager had to come out, at which point he jumped a bit and then started assembling the salad. He did not ask if we wanted it tossed, which they used to do, and instead just layered everything together.

The biggest disappointment came when I got home and realized my Ono Island Ahi salad had no dressing at all, not on the side and not inside. That was frustrating and honestly a letdown, especially since the dressing is a big part of what makes these salads so good.

The space itself looks clean and it is very convenient being inside Kahala Mall, with plenty of parking which is always a plus. Overall, the food concept is great and the salads are still tasty, but the service is lacking and needs improvement for me to fully enjoy coming back regularly.

Wow this place has deteriorated. I asked them to toss the salad with the salad dressing and some rude girl said “We don’t do that anymore.” I stood there for a minute kind of in disbelief…isn’t that their only job? So what I got was an overpriced box of salad greens and a sad ramekin of salad dressing. I could have gone next door to Whole Foods and made my own salad. And that’s just what I’m going to do from now on. Avoid.

I love this place. Curry chicken salad wrap with the Guava lemonade is a must have.

Gone downhill lately. Loved them before.
For $22 I got a salad that was kinda just ok and a small soup. I guess the soup doesn’t come with pita anymore? Ordering via tablet is a little confusing and the ask for tip is a little insulting without first having received service. When I tried to pay for the food on the credit card part, simply tapping didn’t work for me twice. I had to manually enter the credit card number and it failed to move on to the next screen. I don’t know what to say except that it just doesn’t feel as great as it used to. Before I didn’t have the tech struggles and the salad I had didn’t seem as skimpy with the toppings.

In front of Starbucks in Kahala Mall, next to the Christmas tree, at the salad shop, the portions are probably too much for Japanese people.

Ordered a grilled cheese and it was not melted at all. It was bread and two slices of room temp cheese.

How does a restaurant that sells salads forget the salad dressing?
