go early to beat the crowds. went at 430 and the place was empty but started to fill up as we were leaving. food is good and portions are huge. best perks are ordering off the hh and main menu.
So sad to hear Pietros will be closing their doors. If you haven't been here, you better make your reservations and try this place. Everything we ordered was tasty. The portion size can really feed 2. Will definitely go back again before they close!
Food was disappointing. not much flavor in either pasta dish we had. The uni pasta tasted like ordinary pasta with uni thrown in. The seafood pasta was the same. the cream sauce tasted like pasta with milk thrown in. The seafood added NO flavor to the dish. The highlight of the meal was the tiramisu. Light and not too sweet.
Have to get my Pietro fix in while we can. So super sad that one of my favorite neighborhood places is closing. Still miss the vibrant atmosphere they had at Kapi'olani, but will miss their food the most...and their LONG time staff!
Raw Potato Salad is a favorite. Unique combinations of fresh ingredients and sauces available on your choice of pasta. Love the salad dressings and buy them by the bottle. Latest visit had a few hiccups- put the wrong toppings on one pasta dish, put the wrong pasta noodle on another, and then billed the wrong check our credit card. Pay parking available. We will go back again, though, because we like the food and hope no hiccups next time.

Love this place. Heard they were closing the business in December and was very saddened at the news. Will be trying to go there again and again before they close. They will certainly be missed.
Food is good and tasty, very big portions. Wish they would give you all the different dressings for you to try for the raw potato salad like the old location did. They charged us $2 for a small plastic container of the ume dressing. Service was great.
Our first time having Japanese-Italian fusion cuisine. The noodles in our dishes were cooked perfectly Al dente and the combination of clams and shoyu sauce (Clam Pepperoncini) was so good.

This is a great location for a business lunch and/or any lunch. They have lunch specials daily and the staff is very helpful. Great food, great staff, great time! Thank you Angelo Pietro!
Food was very good for Japanese Italian. If you ever ate at Happy Valley Pizza on Monserrat many years ago, food is very similar. Pasta came out al dente and freshly made. Carbonara sauce was very good and had broccoli, mushrooms and asparagus mixed in Japanese style. Food came out quickly. Atmosphere is ok and the place is fairly small. Very quiet which is nice so you can talk without having to yell. Staff very friendly and attentive. Prices are typical for Hawaii. Will definitely go again.

I am happy Angelo Pietro relocated to Kaimuki. I've always enjoyed their version of Japanese-Italian pastas entrées. As of last year, the portions are larger, satisfying, even for the hardy diner. The Staff are always accommodating & friendly, I believe some have been with the restaurant from the Kapiolani days... just a nice family restaurant!

Food is always good. Service is great. Nice touch with Birthday Sundae Dessert. Only slightly disappointing there was no Creme Brulee available which is my favorite dessert there. Calm. relaxing and quiet atmosphere. Mahalo to Angelo Pietro's for being a bright spot in local dining for years!
I don't ever remember going to Pietro's growing up, but I've really been missing out! We went during the week and it wasn't too busy. We've got a 1 year old and they accommodated him just fine. We got a few happy hour pupus and a pasta dish with extra noodles. It was too much food for us! Next time we'll do just the pasta. Great value for what you're getting. We'll be back!
Pietro continues to offer a consistently high quality menu. We look forward to Tadd's exemplary service. Lois is a joy to talk with when making reservations, and even arranges to have 70s background music playing when we come in. The entire Angelo Pietro crew goes out of their way to make guests feel important.
Nice small business restaurant. Great fusion food. Get there for dinner early! They closed at 8.
