I am not sure how this place had such good reviews but the coffee here was weakkk. My friend and I had two different things and they were both terrible. The food was better than the coffee for sure! We had an egg salad toast thing and their banana bread was fire. If you want good coffee I would look elsewhere.

I visited Arvo Coffee Shop in Honolulu and had a fresh green salad along with an amazing cold drink and a latte. Everything was delicious, and I enjoyed it so much! The staff were super nice, friendly, and really helpful in guiding me to choose the right things.
Sending love from Vancouver, Canada 💕
Hope to see you all again soon!

Closes really early.
I really wanted to love Arvo Café, but unfortunately my first visit was underwhelming. I ordered a matcha, two of their food items (the avocado toast and smoked salmon toast), plus a slice of banana bread. Everything looked nice when served, but the flavors just didn’t stand out — nothing felt particularly special or memorable. The matcha especially was a letdown, lacking the richness I was hoping for.
That being said, I do want to give this place another chance. The vibe is cute, and I know some spots just require finding the right drink or dish. I’ll be back to try something different next time, especially since I love the Salt District and was excited to see what Arvo had to offer.

Stopped for an iced matcha as a treat on a hot day. It was perfect and such a cute little spot. Cheaper (and better) than Starbucks too! I’ll have to try some food next time. I got the iced lavender matcha with whole milk.

I tried Arvo once in my neighborhood Waikiki. First time here in Kakaako! I enjoyed my Iced latte. I usually check out a coffee shop's website to learn more about the espresso beans used and overall vibe.
The staff were upbeat during their afternoon rush and customers took their time enjoying their food. Arvo teas looked refreshing! I think they are a solid option in Taste and prices are good too.

ARVO at SALT is such a vibe. I’m already planning my next visit!
I ordered the matcha latte with lavender and it was tasty. I especially enjoyed the latte art on top. It was so cute- almost felt too pretty to drink!
I found the price of their matcha latte to very reasonable compared to other places in the Honolulu area.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating an inviting atmosphere from the moment I walked up.
The outdoor seating area has the perfect vibe. It’s stylish- filled with plants and benches/ tables with cute boho-chic umbrellas.
This is the ideal place to relax and enjoy your drink. I also noticed some people had their laptops out and we’re getting a little work done.
If you’re looking for good vibes and friendly service, ARVO is definitely worth the stop.

I was very disappointed with my experience. I waited 25 minutes just to get my coffee cake warmed up. What made it worse was that people who came in after me and were dining in got served first. It felt like takeout customers weren’t a priority at all. I understand things can get busy, but this kind of service is frustrating — especially for something as simple as warming a pastry. I expected better organization and fairness.

My breakfast place before work after a morning swim at Ala Moana. The food and coffee are great. The people working here are quite friendly. Nice to sit in the shade in the courtyard relaxing, sipping a latte - getting ready for the day.

Stylish, Delicious, and Effortlessly Cool – A Must-Visit in Honolulu
Arvo Café is one of those places that feels like it was made for slow mornings and good conversations. Tucked into the trendy SALT at Kakaʻako, it blends Aussie café culture with island vibes — and does it flawlessly.
The coffee is top-notch — smooth, well-balanced, and crafted with care. Whether you’re into flat whites, matcha lattes, or cold brew, Arvo gets it right. The avocado toast (a classic!) is beautifully presented and full of flavor, often topped with extras like feta or radish for a fresh twist. Other light bites, like their ricotta toast or smoked salmon options, are equally tasty and Instagram-worthy.
Beyond the food and drinks, the aesthetic is what really sets Arvo apart. Think minimalist design, lots of greenery, and a calm, airy atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where locals and visitors alike gather to recharge, read, or just enjoy a really good coffee.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel warm and laid-back.
Five stars — for the coffee, the vibe, and the beautiful attention to detail. Arvo is easily one of my favorite cafés in Honolulu.
We ordered a large cold brew and a strawberry guava mint iced tea to go. Both drinks were great tasting!
